I wonder if my old in the attic Diablo 2, plus expansion is worth anything. I am not getting that warm fuzzy feeling about D3 and I might (might) be a Torchlight 2 junky!

@ziproy

Makes you wonder what they are doing over there in the offices. With the amount of cash they generate and the amount of employees, you would think D3 should be D5 and Starcraft 2 would be complete (all expansions).

I prefer the average Joe most of the time. The problem with heroic type protagonist is that something out where the enemy is always better. If they made the antagonist just as weak as the protagonist then the story would be much better, but would not make for a good game.

Why not treat games like a web site. To access the website by your account, you log in, with your user name, password. When you buy a game, you register the product. When you start the game, you must log in to play. If you do not have internet access, you should still be able to play the single player part, just not the multiplayer. Hell I have a username/password to most if not all gaming companies. The only thing they would have to do is tie in the key code or game code to my username/account. When Fallout 3 starting screen comes online, I enter my user id and PW. If someone else is using my id and pw, no play. Man I am good……………….

I can understand the reason for companies to protect their investment. But I totally disagree in the way they do it. I use Steam (over 70 games on my account), Stardock (only 5 games for now) and Direct 2 Drive (about 7 games) to buy my games. So there are ways to limit Piracy for PC Games by using these types of resources. Also all of them are saving money by not buying boxes and printing the manuals. Hopefully there will be a day when both sides are satisfied and we can get back to making and buying great original games.
