Or maybe you should wait for the games to comne out and see what your video card can do,That 8800 you already have should be enough untill the 9 series comes out.

Whaa?
Put the keyboard down and back away.
Maybe@640x480 but who really want's to play FEAR at those resolutions?
oh yeah console players.
If you set both initial and max settings to 768 it will reduce the thrashing of your hard drive when windows goes to use the pagefile. It also should not affect your physical memory.
The best way to do this is to into the pagefile setting and set to none,Then reboot and perform a defrag. Then go back to the pagefile and set it to 768 on both settings.
What resolution are you running at?
Thats x1950 pro..

But you get the point.
how much should i sell my X1900XT for?
purchased in august for around $300 off newegg. never overclocked. kept clean (dust, etc.)
considering selling on craigslist/ebay or to a friend. im thinking around 200+ . considering the card beats the new 8500/8600s...

It's a last gen video card, you might get anywhere between 100 and 150 bucks since the 8600 series cards are going 199.99 and as far as that 1900xt beating the 8600 look at this benchmark. Once Nvidia releases better drivers I will gurrantee that the numbers for the 8600 in Vista will go up.
A separate NIC card might drop your ping a bit,but it really comes down to your internet connection. I have tried a couple of different NIC card ranging from 15 bucks to as much as 30 bucks and found no major difference.
I had that same question a year or so ago,so I contacted my buddy that works at a PC store and he let me try out some different NIC cards. I ended using my onboard NIC and saved myself some cash.
I used TCP Optimizer to tweak my settings.
Dude don't even pretend you wouldnt be pissed if you got sold a used xbox as new. Is your policy on life to take everything bending over, xonix6?RebornInFlamesThe only real reason to be pissed would be if they Did'nt do anything for the swap.
