@lonesamurai00: Except that other than the Donald faison dance the people suing didn't actually come up with it and there are multiple examples of "their dance" being done well before they did them. Epic is in the right in most of the cases as the dances are not trademarked and copyrighted, Donald Faison's being the exception.
@Setho10: You do realize that everyone on there was literally a superstar in the 80s, 90s, or both. Except for Sammy he was a superstar in the 60s through the 70s. The third top grossing film in 1988 Was Eddie Murphy's coming to America, which had an almost all black cast, was written by Murphy. It was only beat out by Rain Man and Who Framed Roger Rabbit both of which went on to win Oscars. It was released in the summer and was the #1 Grossing film for three months in a row. Rocky 1 and 2 Both Starred Billy Dee Williams in a leading role both were box office gold and the list Goes on. Bill Cosby (despite being scum) was a superstar. Eddie Murphy was a superstar, Whoopie Goldberg was a Super Star, James Earl Jones is a Super Star, Morgan Freeman is a superstar, Don Cheadle is a Super Star. The list goes on and on, as does the list of films with Blacks in leading roles. Will Fucking Smith was the biggest star in the world until he made nepotism the movie (After Earth). The only difference between 2018 and any other years is that people like you and the author of this article chose to virtue signal incessantly about a decent film that wasn't anything new or special.
Yes 2018 was so empowering! Sammy Davis Junior, Richard Prior, Eddie Murphy, Whoopie Goldberg, Oprah, Halle Berry, Queen Latifa, Wesley Snipes and countless others weren't superstars since the 80s. We are just so woke and progressive that blacks have magically just this year been able to work in Hollywood...
