I generally don't mind reading the Japanese subtitles for some games, but I would prefer an English dub but only if the acting is excellent or at least good.
Call me old school, but I still like Final Fantasy VIII's battle against Ultimecia and Griever. It's not too challenging, but it's fun. I also like Super Mario Bros 3's fight against Bowser. Going through all that work is not that great just to fight him, but he's a worthy final boss.
