I'm going to buy it, but not to support Square Enix. I'm going to buy it so I have a great RPG to play! That is, as long as it's better than the dissapointing FF12.
I'd like to see a game with more survival horror aspects to it... as long as it doesnt go to the old fixed camera angles and terrible controls. It'd be a good idea to go back to survival horror for at least one game at this point in the series. But I'm thankful for what 4 and 5 has done for the series! My two favorite games are Resident Evil 2 and Code Veronica, so I guess I'm partial to Claire Redfield.
Its a great game on its own, but you'd be seriously jipping yourself as a gamer if you dont experience the MGS series as a whole. It's a masterpiece, a literal work of art. If there's any way you can play the other games first (in order) then you should do it.
Is it not worth playing again? C'mon people! It's an amazing game to play! Plus you get the greater context and better experience if you just play again.
