I won't be buying it, crappy load times for very low when I max out Far Cry 2 at 60 FPS? Forget it

Toriko42
Taking 4 minutes to load, is hardly a deal breaker if you liked the actual game (one 4 minute load for usually more than an hour gameplay) . Especially a TURN BASED GAME where waiting is a major part of the game. If you are too A.D.D. to sit through the loading screen this is not the game for you.

If I need to know something I type the question in this little box and hit enter. I then read the results until I am satisfied that I have found the answer, usually fact checking the answer by finding it in more than one location. After all, people are sometimes full of ****. This thing is called google.

[QUOTE="WillT12345"]Just like Die Hard 4, AvP, the Riddick movie and ect the studio is pushing for a PG-13 rating on the new terminator movie. I feel forced ratings kill movies, and not because every movie needs cursing or bloody violence, but because that violence or cursing has been established as part of the franchise (IE John Mclains cursing, or showing a terminator punching thru someones stomach, predators shooting holes through people, an aliens popping out of chests). The executives think they will gain ticket sales, but in turn I'm sure they will lose some as well. This question is for those who were already planing on seeing it, but unaware of the possible rating? Will you pay to see Terminator: Salvation in the theater if they rate it PG-13?MrGeezer

Honestly, I'm fine with a PG-13 rating.

Go back and watch the original movie, and it's actually pretty damn tame. Most of the violence was done with little or no gore (for example when Arnold punches his fist through a guy, they don't actually SHOW it). And while there was SOME profanity in the original, it was also tame as far as profanity goes. Even when the entire police station gets shot up, most of those police officers actually died OFF-camera.

And then consider that these days filmmakers can actually get away with quite a bit using the PG-13 rating, and I am actually FINE with it getting a PG-13.

I was referring to T3 when dude gets punched through the stomach, and she starts driving from the backseat and they really showed it. Which brings me to raising the bar..... I would say out of the franchises I list, terminator is the most tame. But I feel that with each sequel they need to dial it up that much more. T1 tamer than T2, T2 tamer than T3. So I feel if it goes to PG13, they will not be able to raise that bar beyond where T3 left off.

[QUOTE="WillT12345"]Uhhhh, ??? no it has been talked about alot. The director brought it up at comic con, and many many other times. They haven't announce the actual rating, but it seems like they are aiming for 13Large_Soda

That is truly sad. I guess directors/producers learned nothing from the whole Die Hard fiasco.

What Die Hard fiasco? Cause he didn't Yipee-Kai-Yay-Mother Bleeper? Can we assertain that ticket sales were actually reduced by that? Or was it just nerds that got upset and dubbed it a "fiasco"? I'll admit I was a little bumbed as a fan when a gun shot went off over the swear word, but I still went to see it. Let's just say for arguements sake some people refused to see the movie based on that censor because they were so destroyed inside and then compare the amount of people that went and saw it because of the reduced rating.

I am willing to bet dollars to donuts that more people went to see it, because it wasn't rated R and they were able to get in and that bottom line means more to the business than offending some nerds.

Oh, I agree that they may of actually sold more tickets cause of the rating. But that is a whole other debate (I think a lot more goes into ticket sales than a rating, but the rating does have an effect). The debate I'm trying to have is that IN MY OPINION "R" rated franchises (like Die Hard, AvP, Riddick) going PG-13 for the sake of ticket sales creates a lower quality product in relation to the previous sequels. Do you disagree or agree?

I don't care what it's rated, the movie looks awesome and that's all that matters. In fact if it's PG-13 instead of R it'll be better for me since I'm 16 and the assh***s that work at the movie theater will actually let me in instead of giving me a hard time.

This comment reminded me of the many people being turned away that the watchmen movie this weekend. They where checking IDs both at the main entrance and the door to the screen room. many people turned away very disappointed.

I feel like my poll is already jacked up cause people are seeming to miss the "IN THEATERS" part. Alot saying yes but I will wait for DVD, which is what I mean by saying "will wait for the inevitable UNRATED DVD/BLU RAY".

I'll go see it because it looks decent, but I would prefer a rated R experience, but I understand why they do this.....it generates more tickets sold.

Pirate700

I will completely admit that the trailer at the beginning of watchmen was bad ass. It just bums me that it sounds like they are going the die hard 4 route.

How do you figure that? There has been no word on them trying to make it PG13. And after the backlash Die Hard got for pulling that stunt, I doubt anyone else will be dumb enough to make that error.

Uhhhh, ??? no it has been talked about alot. The director brought it up at comic con, and many many other times. They haven't announce the actual rating, but it seems like they are aiming for 13. Google "terminator salvation rating" and see for your self before you start saying things never happened.
