I found Okami just before Christmas in Game (UK) in their pre-owned section. I got about a third of the way through but then got NSMBWii which has taken all my attention away. It's going to be months, at the rate I play before I get back into Okami again.

I'm pretty sure, in the UK at least, that Wii's come with Wii Sports Resort and WM+ at the standard retail price.

EDIT: But independently the Wiimotes are sold without WM+

This is definitely awesome, but I wonder how good the streaming buffer will be since most of us probably connect our Wiis wirelessly. I just got a blu ray player that streams netflix, but it will only connect through a wired connection.

Jamisonia

The BBC iPlayer launched on Wii in the UK last month streams SD programmes flawlessly over wifi so I don't think you should have a problem.

I thought the whole point of System Wars was to keep the trolls occupied and out of the other forums.

There's a level with some bombs in it, they look like the ones in SMG, in SMG you pick them up and throw them to destroy the piles of trash, in NSMBWii you touch them and die.SanityFair

If you jump on them, you can then pick them up and throw them like in SMG, but once you jump on them you only have a few seconds to handle them before they will blow up.

Thanks, I was repeatedly jumping on them to bounce them where I wanted them to go.

I quite proudly admit that I really suck at the game. I'm on about 22 continues now and I'm at the mid-point of world 3, but I don't mind it's still good fun. I have reached the castle at the end of level 3 but not reached the boss there yet, of course that puts me back to the mid-point and I have to fight my way through 3-4 and 3-5 and 3-4 again before I get to the end for another attempt.

Still I'm rather new to the 2D Mario world, the Wii's the first console I've bought, always had a computer of some sort before. There's a lot of trial and error in the game for me, something that someone familiar with the Mario genre would know in advance, i.e. what things can be picked up and thrown and what can't. Often I'll try and pick something up to discover it's actually an enemy and kills me while I'll ignore other things only to discover later they can be used as weapons.

There's a level with some bombs in it, they look like the ones in SMG, in SMG you pick them up and throw them to destroy the piles of trash, in NSMBWii you touch them and die.

Still, no complaints, I, rather masochistically, enjoy the challenge and the satisfaction (although short-lived) when I do make it to the end of a level.

Not exactly on topic, but somewhat related: If you use standard rechargable batteries and have to swap out in the middle of a game, will it kill your game or can you pull a successful swap while playing (like at the pause menu or something)? How will you know if the batteries you are using are about to die? Will the blue light turn red or something or will the Wii remote just stop working?

Euaggelistes
All the games I've played come up with a 'communication with the wii remote has stopped' screen, which remains until I've replaced the batteries and pressed A (or 2 depending on the game) when the screen goes and the game resumes. Many games warn well beforehand that the batteries are low. For example NSMBWii shows a warning at the start of each level if the batteries are low. The wii remotes also indicate how much charge they have when you switch them on, and the home button gives a display listing all the active remotes and how much charge they have.

I use rechargeable AA's, I have 2 Wii Remotes and 6 AA's, 2 in each remote and 2 in the charger, when the batteries in one remote runs out I swap them with the ones from the charger I've never been in the position where both remotes have discharged and I don't have to wait for them to recharge as there's always a pair of fully charged batteries waiting in the charger.

Over here in the UK the only video game ad I've seen is Bayonetta on the PS3, that seems to be on every 15 minutes during the late evening. I think the last Wii ads I've seen were for Wii Fit last summer.
