My union was dead for a while, but i guess members were still visiting the forum from time to time.... I started posting again a couple of months ago, and everyone just came back. :) It helps that starcraft 2 just came out, so activity's picking up.

I really like this idea, they probably won't change the system unless they see it as absolutely necessary tho.

Unfortunately, this isn't a strategy, it (like most multiplayer games) is an exercise in taking advantage of the game's limitations to get the edge on your opponents. I'd suggest sticking to custom maps, for the most part.

do they still appoint any 'Official' unions? like for a specific game series/franchise? and also, any chance of another community union awards thing? i remember that happening a couple of years ago....

It default to the standard AI practice of going after military units first so that you actually have to micro manage and you can't have an easy-win button. I wouldn't mind a Ctrl-select attack option from Homeworld though.Sheppard212

Don't bother talking down to me, I've been playing SC1 and WC3 (along with plenty of other RTSs) for years. I can micromanage just fine, but I know the difference between UI improvements that "play the game for you" and improvements that just make for a smoother, more intuitive interface. I honestly can't fathom what goes on in the minds of the hardcore crowd that whines about improved pathfinding or allowing MBS.

I'll try sending the zerglings in between the nexus and the minerals and see what they end up doing tho, that's not a bad idea.

alright, i've been liking this game so far, but something just happened that really pissed me off. i've developed a decent "late rush" with the zerg, where i get the metabolic boost and send ~20 of them past enemy lines to take out all of their workers at once. i usually do this against protoss. they, of course, slowly send their zealots after me, but i'm zooming around and ready to kill. and then i find out, the attack-move command doesn't target workers! what was blizzard thinking? workers are literally right next to my zerglings, the zealots are 10-15 feet away (or 1 inch away, w/e), and they run away from the workers to fight the zealots. targeting the workers 1 at a time is clumsy at best, the way zerglings have to surround a target to really attack it properly. anyone else running into this problem/have any suggestions?
