Might be slowly scratching your disks thats wat my xbox did when it made a loud noise...well... at least the replacement one which i got from rrod xbox... some replacement it was broken right when i used it..
Seeing that Halo is overrated and no matter how bad it does it will get a 9 purely on hype... but I think it should get 8 since it looks the exact same as the last 2 except for new guns..
I think this is a game to try and add a creative flare to the 360 but from what I see in the demo its a horrible game with not even good visuals.. Little Big Planet looks 100 times better than this.. it seems more like a xbox live arcade game then an actual retail game..
