@Jacanuk @VelvetKevorkian @SavoyPrime My point exactly. It seems that it's this same thing that everyone's freaking out about all over again, when it's really a just basic way of supporting a business. The point that everyone's missing is that Gerstmann was not fired for the same thing Cam is talking about in this video.
@billlabowski You seem like one of those people who just went straight to leaving a comment on this video. Cam's clearly still just doing his job here.
Everyone's talking about putting pressure on the site for the Kane & Lynch review, but was anyone actually offered money for it directly? The only money that was involved was the featured ads for the game the genereates their ad revenue, which is common practice on this site & is in fact one of their main sources of income. There is a key difference there.

Honestly, anyone who is truly inclined to believe that Gamespot (at least) is on the payroll of major publishers for the exchange of high ratings & positive reviews has to be so jaded in their perception of this web site. If you have trouble trusting their judgement on video games because it doesn't match up with your own opinion, or, by god, it's not the same as the godawful plague that is Metacritic, then you are clearly digging hard for affirmation that the only answer is corruption.
