Well a coworker went to buy a MAC and the salesman said why would you invest in a 1000$ - 2000$ - 3000$ machine for gaming when PS3 & Xbox are made just for that purpase and costs 300 - 500$??

I mean it can, but PC's aren't made for that!
Gaming on PC's makes them use their parts at it's peak all the time and evenutally overusing them!

I was a PC gamer last-gen and enjoyed BF 1942 & UT2K4 but i'm a graphic designer now and i only use it now for my work!
