I'm thinking about buying th eOrange Box, although I have never played Half Life....in your opinions is this okay...? or should I really play Half Life first? Or maybe just read about it and go on?

I've got this awesome bud that I hang out with a lot (No hoemoe XD) and we always used to try and chill at least once a week and just hang and play games, all that.
Now it's like I'm losing him to this woman he's got, and I can't get him off of her. Even worse, she's mean as ****. You'd think she could be a bit nicer.
So, my question to you guys is, what do you do when you lose your best IRL video game bro to a female? (And no, getting a woman yourself isn't a solution since it's already taken care of, I just don't let it tear me away from my friends)
