Aslong as I get TVersity and transfer video files to this media player, I'll be able to find it under media servers on my PS3? If you don't mind, I dont know how I'd repay you but if you could just help me through this untill I get it working.

Man I thought it would be so easy, turn on the PS3, connect online, turn on laptop, find media server and bada bing bada boom.
My movie files would be listed and I could watch AVI files on my 42" LCD monitor. But no man it ain't so easy, I think it's a vista thing and its over protective nature but whatever the reason, I can find Windows Media Player alright but access will be denied because the PS3 is not registered and Im techno-impaired and I dont know how to go about doing the registration.
Ive taken down my firewall and allowed all outside devices to access my media server but nothing is working. Now all I have to depend on is this Divx support update which Im not even sure is out yet.
Does anyone know when it will come to Canada? Or better yet can anyone take me step by step and help me stream my media from Windows Media Player or anything else?
Man Im in the same boat. I got a laptop working on Vista and I dont know what it is but I cant get the damn thing to work.
I hate this techno stuff cause I suck at it but I have a feeling it has to do with vista and it's overprotective nature. The media can actually be found on my 360 it just can't be accessed for whatever reason
