It's a dumb idea. The gist of it is that the "game console" is on a rack in a server farm somwhere. Your set-top box sends control input and receives streaming video and audio. Nothing like introducing latency into your controls and video. :roll:
This might be possible in some distant future where your home broadband connection has HDMI-like latency and bandwidth but we sure as hell aren't there now.
I just hope the claims are true, but even the most hopeless positive thinker will reject the claims. To stream all that data, you need quite a powerful console and I think the costs will be quite high. I think it's going to be a new Dreamcast, difference is that I love Sega's console, but this one will be an interesting achievement

Yeah.. And the fact that you at least need a 5.0mps line for the HD experience.. I dont know bout that. Not everone has that! And there server size have to be huge! so like you said.. It will prob be a high cost..But I dont think there will be an actual console, it will be more a controller and a online character where youi have all your games. So the positiv bout this is that when there is a newrelease you can download it instantly..
