@Destructionzz: It's just the Elden Ring logo expanding. The trick is that they have an expansion coming up and we haven't really seen any footage of it yet. Edit: Actually they released a trailer last month, must've missed it somehow.
I'll buy this when it inevitably comes to PC. Sony did good publishing this game, but I'm not convinced they have any other attractive games planned for PS5, so I would feel like they fleeced me if I got a PS5 just for this one game.
In-game chat and streaming software? Oh thank god, this doesn't affect me at all. I thought they were gonna put ads in DMs or something. That would've been annoying.
@majema007: 2 had too many memes but other than that, it was excellent compared to Borderlands 3. I do have a soft spot for the atmosphere of the first game myself, but still enjoyed 2 a hell of a lot. Couldn't stand 3 at all.
@godofheck42: RE sells cheats, DD2 sells currency and convenience. They are both bad practices, but one sets an arguably worse precedent.
To be clear, I'm saying don't support this if you don't want microtransactions in paid games. If you don't care about it, then more power to you. Just don't be offended when others try to fight back against bad practices that you don't mind.
@zmanbarzel: Ohh, my bad. I misread that Wikipedia entry. Though, that means they hadn't begun development on any new games while under Embracer, right?
There's something I don't get. A lot of their games were still published by 2K after 2015, which is when Gearbox was acquired by Embracer. But 2K is owned by Take-Two. So how did that even work? Did 2K split the profits between Take-Two and Embracer?
Most importantly, is anything really going to change? Gearbox is just moving from one modern corpo to another. The 2K of today is not the same as the 2K of fifteen years ago.
@chubby170: It's somewhat pretty so it can be fun to explore for a bit if you enjoy the Elder Scrolls universe, but the level scaling ruins the already dull gameplay. Every combat encounter feels the same, you never feel like you're becoming stronger.
After watching it a few times, I'm surprised to say... it actually looks fun for what it is. I'm not into Marvel so that part of it is a turn-off for me, but I saw some cool things in that trailer that made it look like it might be fun to play. Most specifically, being able to do an anime fusion with an ally. Also the character designs aren't ugly, and the announcer sounds cute. I think I might check this out... though it might be a Multiversus situation where I check it out for a bit and quickly move on just because I don't like the IP.
