@daious: I never got that info from misterx ,i also dont bookmark or copy and paste info i read that off of their site when HBM was first being introduced. You might want to start there, I done arguing with you they specifically said their HBM was in consoles, and not in the ps4 so whos left?

@daious: you talking about misinformation but didnt give me any information. Enlighten me on how they are different, i showed ou how they are the same. Where this site get mixed up is businesses and consumers, you think because they are not selling to you the consumers big businesses cant get it either. Stop thnking everything is from that site because you only wait for negative info. They are the same just smaller scale on the x1.

@daious: yes it the same go find the info instead of talking just to be talking. It just stacked on pascal and volia because theres more of it 32mb for the X1 and 4gb on the pascal gpu , not to even mention xbox 1 is split into two sub-systems that why you see the the ESRAM beside each other.

@daious: eSRAM is HBM made by they same people 1024 bit wide bus 200gb+ bandwidth for 1gb

The MemoryManagement Unit lets the CPU/ GpU share the same virtual address space but use their own Memory so the CPU is never Required to take away memory and bandwidth from the GPU.

Yes you want data compressd and decompressed fast makes for better and more efficient streaming.

Thats the reason the Ps4 have to bypass the GPU cache because it dosent have Direct Memory Access ( memory and bandwidth goes to the system and the CPU first before the GPU gets its share on the Ps4.

Im going to say it again just look where the industry is moving.

Gddr5 is getting replaced by HBM

Direct Access Memory

lossless Data compression

ROPs being bypassed by Shader Cores

Multiple Contexts at the same time(usually one at a time)

No need for the CPU/GPU doing all the work other processor for each task.

When you put that together its clear that we leaving the PS4 way to what MS is doing with the X1
