If it isn't your connection, then it is your consol. I get zero lag ever for online of off-line.

Halo 3 - 9.0
Mass Effect - 9.5 and GS GOTY
Assassins Creed - 8.0-8.5 (it looks amazing but I don't see GS liking it)

Why do some of you call Gears of War, GEOW? It would be GOW. Whatis the 'E' suppose to mean? I'm just curious.

These threads get made daily and the results are always different. Sometimes, almost everyone says vertical is the way to go, sometimes they say horizontal, and others it is a mix. To the TC, either way is equally fine. Just go with what you prefer.

Great graphics, horrible gameplay. And by horrible, I mean abysmal.

Cool. So, how long did I have to have one? I think I've had it for at least a month.X360NowPS3Later
Then you heard wrong. You just have to have an account. It is a public beta, not a special one that is tough to get into. ;)

Can I still get into the beta?X360NowPS3Later
Yes. The public beta is open to everyone who already has an account on Monday. If you don't have an account on the site yet, no.

[QUOTE="Thrillhouse"][QUOTE="ipath4life"]....ms would probably prefer you to leave it vertical....more broken 360s means more money for them....ipath4life

Quite the contrary. MS has to pay for all the broken ones due to the 3 year warranties for overheating. The problems are costing them a fortune. They would tell you what way to put it if it made a difference.

if a 360 falls over and breaks, its not covered by warranty.....

That is correct. The same could be said about throwing it out the window or taking a shower with it. It goes under, be careful around it and don't be a cluts. If your 360 is not on the floor, it should never be able to be knocked over. Ifthe 360 is in a safe place for an expensive electric appliance, andit is still getting knocked over, maybe that person is not mature enough to own one. With that, the TC and others are talking about the safety of either position from a cooling standpoint.

In vertical your blocking the air intake, wait, the ONLY air intake the 360 has, all other holes are to let heat out. Horizontal is a must. If you put your hand on that side you can feel it, make sure it is unobstructed. DullBozer
First off, the 360 does not have any "intakes". An intake is like what car engines have that actually SUCK IN air to the unit (or engine for cars). The 360 has a seriesof air holesall over the machine, and a fan that blows/sucks hot air OUT of the machine. No intakes. With the machine horizontal, you block a lot of the hoels on one of the sides. If you have it vertical, you block the lot on the bottom (gray part). Conclusion, it doesn't matter which way you have it. If you weren't supposed to have it one of the ways, MS would not put the rubber pads on both sides.
