This is the best thing to happen in the gaming industry in years. If someone else can make a highly competitive product with strong sales within 5 years I'm sure EA will not be able to get exclusive rights again. Otherwise, it's the exact thing all over again. If the competition fails to produce, then EA will probably be able to do whatever they want.
