@RoachRush: I love Nintendo... but he's right. I'll be holding out to pick up switch. Going to need to see a new Mario Kart, Smash Bro's and would like a new Star fox.

@superklyph: Not if you own them already, but sure.

the best part of my retropi though, it also doubles up as a steam streamer which i'ved paired with wii u pro controller. I get my 1080ti 4k games downsampled to 1080p screen and its pretty much flawless. :D

It's very pretty.. but Retro Pi does this for you and you can update the library.

@xSlugox: Well perhaps.. if most games weren't gpu bottlenecked that is. It's not really anything worth caring about. Perhaps Civ would get a boost? Noticeable? Probably not so much.

I'm a fan of using DSR with a low smoothness setting with FXAA ontop. You get like zero geometry aliasing but the FXAA tones down the crazy sharpness if you're pulling close to 4k down sampled on a 1080 monitor. I've yet to find a good level of DSR smoothness that competes with regular FXAA.

@andyvecc011: first gen? second gen what?

We don't get generations on PC as such, perhaps DX upgrades can be considered generations. We just get seriously high frame rates, high definition VR and native 4K.

What does "GEN 2" do for you that makes it better?

@spas2k: Project Cars 2 on HTC Vive. Now that's a game changer
