There was never 'nothing', there always had to be something out there, it was just compressed to the extreme. Think of it like a large DVD movie that gets compressed way down to fit into an Ipod. Just because the movie has been compressed doesn't mean that in reality it is not actually a very large file. an unknowable arguement, hell for all we know we could be in a matrix, sim city for a larger universe
