Huh? I thought M$ is so rich that they can fix any type of defects on the 360?

What happened Lemmings?

ProductNumber49

What happened to ps2.

I believe it suffered from hardware problems that were eventually ironed out with no extended warranty needed.

The 360 on the other hand...

I could said the same thing about the PS2 and don't give me this thing about the 360 being worst. I have mine 360 for over a year and half and it still works so if it gets to two years all you Sony fanboys are Pwnt!PS3_3DO

Too bad the 360 is cheaper and more mainstream, so multiplatform games will do better on 360BioShockOwnz

Assuming it still works in 2008...

I figured it would stay in the top 5 at least for a month or so like the PS3. but now the 360 has offically dropped out of the top 5 and drop to 13th place. i didn think that would happen this fast. whats your thoughts?

Not surprising considering the # of hardware defects it suffers from.

Yah, thats the only bad thing about the 360. The games on it are great, only fanboys disagree.

Yea, games are great. But I'd say the hardware unreliability is a huge problem.

So my Xbox Elite's DVD drive went out. No problem, still under warranty. I sent it in, waited a couple weeks got a different refurbished system. Not TOO big of an inconvenience so far. After I turn it on, I realize that one of the internal fans is really loud. As in I can hear the whining over EVERYTHING loud. As in much louder than my original Xbox 360 loud. So I talk to Microsoft, they say that it's not covered under the warranty, as the fan is working, and the games play fine. They literally said on the phone, "well if it starts scratching disks, let us know".

So, it looks like the only option I have is to void the warranty to replace the fan myself. Awesome, job MS!111 Yet another happy customer!

I wonder how many replacements MS needs to get it right.

Sad.

I'd get the PS3. It's nice to have a system that runs smoothly.

The difference on platforms will be minimal. The only real differences will be the lack of rumble and six-axis control for the Playstation 3 controller. The guys at Infinity Ward preferred the 360 controller for shooters, but said that the PlayStation 3 controller was easier to target enemies with, which gave it a slight edge for multiplayer.

not to mention the ps3 version lacks scratches on the bottom after hours of gameplay

I guess that Xbox 360 is now pretty much officially the most poorly designed console everTimstuff
Not the best example ever. But yeah, it sure is problem-ridden. Reliable hardware is a nice thing to enjoy.
