Call of Duty: Modern Warfare - Reflex Edition

Despite having less options for the Wiimote cursor than more recent instalments meaning that it feels slightly different to control, this is a near perfect port of the shooter that redefined war games, and the online is also pretty sweet. 8/10.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare - Mobilized

The best Call of Duty on DS. Great soundtrack, much better controls and graphics, and a nice multiplayer with ranking system. 9/10.

Call of Duty: World at War

An excellent game. Though it's missing an entire level, Zombies mode, half of the online maps and vehicles that are all present in the other versions, the online is still awesome, the sound and graphics are decent, and it portrays WWII remarkably as a grittier affair than most games. The controls are also perfect, and set the standards for any Wii/Wii U shooter; 8/10.

Guitar Hero World Tour

Another Guitar Hero. Still nice, but lacks anything innovative. 7/10

Guitar Hero 5 (Guitar Bundle)

Yet again ANOTHER Guitar Hero, but this has nicer graphics and more customizable avatars. Still nothing really new to the table. 7/10.

James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing

Own it on both the PS2 and the Gamecube, good on both, but not without flaws; 8/10

Super Mario Galaxy

The spiritual successor to Mario 64. A great game, though the hub world is frustrating and repetitive to navigate. 8/10.

Mario Kart Wii (w/ Racing Wheel)

An accessible and fun entry in the Mario Kart series. Lacks any major innovations that weren't in the previous DS entry, and the graphics could have been better, but the online is great and the single player is a blast too. It also has it's very own Wii Channel which even as of 2014 has loads of online worldwide challenges to enter- a game with lots to offer; 8/10.

Zelda no Densetsu: Yume o Miru Shima

Pocket Monsters Pearl

Another decent Pokémon, but I found it held my attention less for some reason. 8/10

Sonic Gems Collection

A collection of great rare Sonic titles. Sonic CD is the standout game, and though the emulation could have been a little better, all the games are fun and it's presented fantastically. There's also loads to collect in the museum, which adds a little bit of depth to an otherwise bog-standard collection game; 9/10.

New Super Mario Bros.

Apart from the annoying name which will lost it's NEW a few months after release, NEW Super MArio Bros is a great game with as much to offer as the originals. It falls short in that it doesn't offer much more that we haven't seen before, though what it does invent is cool and well thought out; 9/10

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes

A fantastic game which doesn't like to hold your hand. The only downside to this game is that you can be stuck one or two places for months... or years in my case. Still, finally beat it, and couldn't have had a better sense of acheivement; 9/10

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons

Another great Zelda game. What can I say? 9/10

Super Mario World: Super Mario Bros. 4

Despite weak instruments holding up the sountrack, this game is what you'd have bought a SNES for back in the day. Personall,y I think SMB3 is better, and the MegaDrive's Sonic The Hedgehog stands the test of time better too, but this is still a gem. 9/10.

Sonic the Hedgehog

Often overlooked in favour of it's Mega Drive brother, the SMS version is fun & challenging in it's own way. 9/10

New Super Mario Bros. U

The best 2D Mario since Super Mario Bros 3. What would I change? Nothing! PERFECT.

Bad Piggies

A truly creative game that really works your mind. You can do some amazing things with the tools your'e given too. On top of that, it's a really nice game when you're sat on the train too. 8/10.

Pocket Monsters Aka

The game that started it all. Whildt others have improved the formula, this still holds up great today. 9/10

Nintendo Land

A collection of arcade/funfair style mini games. This really shows off what the Wii U and the touchscreen Gamepad can do- plus it's a hell of a lot of fun. Of particular note are the Zelda and Metroid games included, which are some of the most enjoyable co-op games I've ever played.

Command & Conquer: Generals

The best Command and Conquer. 9/10.

Sonic Rush

Despite not being what I thought it would be, this is a fantastic game and builds more on Sonic's speed than his platforming skills; 9/10

New Super Luigi U

The DLC to NSMBU breathes new life in to it, making it more difficult, but still utterly playable at the same time. PERFECT.

Pokemon FireRed Version

Awesome remake of an awesome game. The original got me in to Pokémon and this one carried the frenzy on; 9/10

Sonic Advance 3

Awesome game, but not as good as the first two, which were pretty much perfect; 9/10

Sonic Heroes

An excellent game with great graphics and a real classic feel. It spices up the Sonic gameplay with switchable characters. The levels are large and varied, the music fantastic and funky, and the controls are tight. Despite having the same camera style as the previous games, it greatly improves on everything the previous 3D outings offered, and had a great ending, albeit a cheesy one; 9/10

Sonic Heroes

The PS2 version suffers due to squashed graphics and a low framerate, as well as problems switching characters. Still a good game, but not as good as on GameCube; 7/10

Animal Crossing

An awesome life sim which plays even when you're not. The game was once described as being "An MMORPG but offline", and that description isn't far off. Surprisingly deep for a game about cutesy looking animals in a forest, this game'll have you spending hours helping the various critters live their lives, collecting items lost or helping with their various trades with other animals. The game changes time and season based on your GameCube clock, which means that there's always something going on. The point of the game is to start with your small home and pay off your mortgage, making it bigger and better every time. There's also tonnes of mini games and side quests to do (or not, if you don't want to) and loads of animals to befriend (or de-friend). The charm comes in building your own style house and collecting furniture and stuff you like to make your home look awesome. There's also a museum to help fill with fossils, insects, fish and collectible works of art, with tonnes of secrets and surprises along the way. As of March 2014 (I got the game on 2nd Feb) I've clocked in over 60 hours, and I've barely discovered half of what the game has to offer. To do everything (optional), you have to play the game during various times if day and night to collect insects that only come out at night or talk to animals that are nocturnal. If you have a buddy with the game, you can visit their tow via their memory card and help them out too by trading, doing their garden work or helping them with their mortgage. Definitely a game to buy if you like home rearrangement or are fed up with the huge amount of action games out there.

Sonic Adventure 2 Battle (Reprint)

A well presented game; emotional, creative and varied gameplay, which suffers only due to an occasionally odd camera angle and repetitive treasure hunting and mech-blasting. Not everyone likes that in their Sonic games, but it passes here; 8/10

Speed Punks

A great karting game clearly inspired by the likes of Mario Kart. However, this game stands on it's own as a fantastic title with it's own unique themes and characters, each funny and interesting without having to be backed up by a pre-existing franchise. The game differs from other kart games y giving you a boosting ability topped up by collecting regenerating tokens throughout the race courses, and has a slew of well balanced weapons to aid you in your fight to finish first. The game controls well and takes advantage of the analogue sticks of the PS1, and as well as a 2P mode also allows up to 4P with the multi-tap add-on. There's tonnes of unlockables, as well as the ability to save your time-trials on the games various maps. THE essential karting game for PS1, or even PS2.

Bare Knuckle II: Shitou no Chinkon Uta

Meatier than the first, but also slower and more surreal. 2 Player mode is where it's at. 8/10.

Sonic Rush Adventure

As good as the first, but with the addition of sea travel. It feels like the Wind Waker fused with Sonic Rush, which isn't a bad thing. 9/10

Command & Conquer: Red Alert

The best of Command and Conquer on your pocket, complete with a simplistic skirmish mode and local head-to-head mode. Works surprisingly well and is a definite must-buy. 9/10.

Streets of Rage

This is emulated, so it's the standard Streets of Rage you've played before- however it also has a wireless two player mode. It's a shame that the button layout can't be changed, as it makes this port a bit awkward unless you play it in letterbox format, which makes the screen tiny; 8/10.

James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing

Own it on both the PS2 and the Gamecube, good on both, but not without flaws; 8/10

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

The best Call of Duty on the Wii. Tight controls, well thought out online with a plethora of modes, an amazing single player campaign with tonnes of twists, and the most cinematic combat of any of the Modern Warfare games. I also has a cool survival mode where you can receive the help of a friend to fight AI opponents in waves of increasing strength. It's let down by the amount of hackers who ruin the experience, but that's because the Wii is easy to hack, not because of the game; 9/10.

Bare Knuckle: Ikari no Tekken

The best stree brawler out there, even today. 9/10.

Early Bird

A game where you bounce the bird via well placed items in to a goal ring. Surprisingly deeper than it sounds, and addictive too. 9/10.

Sonic the Hedgehog

Before the update this was an emulated version of the classic, and it was emulated well. Since the update, this game has become a full widescreen HD version of the original classic, complete with every feature imaginable; an online leaderboard, additional playable characters, secret beta functions and even items from later games. It also now sports a retro menu with a 3D replica of the original game case. Unfortunately I cant' rate this an 11, so it just has to get a PERFECT 10/10.

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3

Tied with Super Smash Bros: Brawl for the best fighter on the Wii. Well over 100 characters, tonnes of maps, an awesome story mode with well voiced characters and neat new combo's and special moves. The only let down is that the game's online is laggy and slow as heck. However, the online is an afterthought, and this beats Tenchaichi 2 hands down, which didn't even have an online mode; 9/10.

Zelda no Densetsu: Kamigami no Triforce

A Link to the Past is an excellent game, and one of the best SNES games hands down. Enthralling. 9/10.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii

Better than the DS prequel and now with 4-player local multiplayer! Yoshi returns and brings a tonne of new items with him. This doesn't really add anything much more, but then again, it's Mario. What more do you need? 9/10.

SoulCalibur II

An excellent fighter with superb graphics, great soundtrack and interesting locations and characters. A perfect example of an arcade fighter done well. The Gamecube version also has Link from 'Zelda' as a playable character. 9/10.

Zelda no Densetsu: Kamigami no Triforce & Yotsu no Tsurugi

The best version of A Link to the Past. This also includes many changes in names and the removal of glitches, as well as the multiplayer mode Four Swords, which is a load of fun. 9/10.

Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode II

Better than Episode I- this has better physics, less conventional level tropes, and more difficult bosses. It also has the best 2-player a 2D Sonic can offer. A welcome addition to the franchise. 9/10.

Angry Birds

The game that started the Angry Birds war machine. Whilst the later games have become little more than the mindless products of hungry executives, this game retains everything you'd want about a game where you fling birds at little green pigs. Fun and addictive. 8/10.

Sonic Advance 2

As good as the first title, and the game that got me back in to Sonic after many years hiatus; PERFECT.

Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3 (2 Bonus e-Reader Cards)

If you love the NES version, this is even better. Seeing as the NES version is a perfect game, how can this one NOT be? PERFECT.

Mass Effect 3: Special Edition

Have you ever watched a film and walked away sad, happy, or angry because the emotion on-screen was so well portrayed that it immersed you to the point of feeling those emotions too? Mass Effect 3 does this with all of your feelings. Never have I beaten a game before feeling proud that I paid attention to all the scripts, details and wants and needs of the in-game characters and achieved the outcome I wanted. This is a game which you don't just play, you immerse yourself in; you become the character. There are times when you have to make a difficult choice which may affect a race of people or team mate, and makes you feel guilty for doing this. This is a game that makes you sacrifice things for the greater good. When the ending came and I had to make a choice about what I thought was right- I did this, and I got the very best ending after all my 40+ hours of effort. This is a fantastic game. A real work or art. Fantastic graphics, soundtrack, characterization... Play the game and find out. PERFECT.

Call of Duty: World at War - Zombies

Call of Duty Zombies in your pocket complete with 4-player local or online multiplayer, achievements, and a multitude of control options. The gyro controls make this game and it's the best FPS experience on a phone or tablet around. 9/10.

Super Mario 64 DS

The quintessential 3D platformer is better on the DS than it was on the N64. That's pretty hard to accomplish; 9/10

Sonic Advance

Love the MegaDrive games? You'll love this; 10/10

Real Racing 2

Effectively Gran Turismo on handheld tablets. Tight controls, realistic features, great graphics, decent soundtrack, and an online multiplayer for a fraction of the price of a home console game make this a fantastic game to own. 9/10.

Metroid Fusion

The best Metroid game hands down. Engrossing and wondrous, it's not often I've been scared whilst playing a video game, especially a 2D one, but this makes you feel it. The scenes with the SA-X (An alien clone of you at full power) stalking you are tense, and the sound and graphics all add to the experience, making this a truly outstanding game. PERFECT.

The Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition

Like Sonic Mega Collection, this bundles all the best early Zelda titles in to one package. For Ocarina of Time alone it'd be worth a 10/10, but with Zelda I and II and Majora's Mask, it's perfect. It's a shame that on some rare occasions Majora's Mask can lock up, but those are few and far between. PERFECT.

Sonic Generations

A really good game. Sonic Generations does everything that you'd wished the rpevious decade of games had. 9/10.

Sonic CD

A remastered version of the original in glorious widescreen HD. The perfect game just got better. PERFECT.

Super Mario 64

Every 3D platformer owes this game a big thank you. Truly amazing; 9/10.

Mario Kart DS (DS Bundle)

This is what got me in to Mario Kart. There are loads of tracks, tonnes of challenges, more characters and Karts than you can shake a stick at, and it has a brilliant local and online multiplayer. You can even customise your every own emblems and place it on your Kart for other people to see. This is the quintessential DS game; PERFECT.

Super Mario Land 2: 6 Tsu no Kinka

The spiritual successor to Super Mario World, only without Yoshi. Still, it's got tonnes of more environments, some memorable music, and controls perfectly. It's even kinda in colour on the Gameboy Colour and Advance. Oh, it also has a save feature! Man, this is an awesome game; PERFECT.

Pocket Monsters Kin

The game that brought Pokémon in to the world of colour. Better than the first titles in every way; longer, faster, more varied items and locations. A real incredible game to have in your pocket; 9/10

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

A slightly different take on the normal Zelda formula. The motion controls work fantastically, and the artistic style is lovely to look at. It has as much meat as the previous entries, and the story is fascinating. There's tonnes of new stuff here, and the only downside is that your tag-along helper Fi won't shut up for 5 minutes. if you've played Ocarina of Time though, that's really nothing new. 9/10.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2

Before the update this was an emulated version of the classic, and it was emulated well despite the lack of an options menu and character select. Since the update, this game has become a full widescreen HD version of the original classic, complete with every feature imaginable. it sports an online leaderboard and multiplayer, additional playable characters, secret beta functions and even items from later games. As with the previous game on mobile devices, it too has a retro menu with a 3D replica of the original game case. It even has a recreated version of the beta level Hidden Palace hidden among the normal levels. Truly a mind blowing experience. 10/10.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (Limited Edition)

This is a game that sucks you in. It' makes you feel sadness, joy, anger. It's long, it uses the GameBoy Advance in an interesting way, It's controls are perfect, it's music is beautiful, it's visuals are gorgeous. It's a timeless classic everyone should play. PERFECT

Sonic the Hedgehog 2

An excellent example of platforming, with the addition of a fun 2-player race mode. PERFECT

Sonic Mega Collection

Hey! Do you want a collection of the best games of the 90's all on one tiny disc with loads of cool extras? Yo do? Well, that's just grand. PERFECT.

Disney's DuckTales

As a port of the NES game for the Original GameBoy, DuckTales holds up extremely well, and still plays great! 8/10.

Sonic the Hedgehog

Sonic in his original form. An exciting and timeless classic which epitomizes 16-bit platforming. PERFECT.

Super Mario Bros. 3

Another brilliant Mario game, with more to do and superior graphics. Who'd have thought having the ability to walk BACKWARDS through a stage would be such a welcome addition? 10/10.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

One of the best games ever just got even prettier, and added a host of nice new features. PERFECT.

Super Mario Bros.

The epitome of video games. Holds up exactly the same as it did the day it was released. Unfortunately, this GBA port has some glaring graphical issues and the controls feel a bit floaty. Odd. 7/10.

Famicom Mini: Super Mario Bros.

The game that started it all. It's as playable today as it was back in 1985. What more do you want? PERFECT.

Super Mario Land

The spiritual sequel to Super Mario Bros, but with added twists and more varied gameplay IN YOUR POCKET. It also has an amazing soundtrack PERFECT.

Sonic 3 & Knuckles

Th second half of Sonic 3 is an epic one. You know what to expect from Sonic- PLAY IT! 9/10.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3

Playing is believing; Sonic 3 is one of the best games of the 90's. A must have. 9/10.
