My first Square game was FF9 I couldent get past the 3rd disc, its probably because I was to young to even understand it.:P I didnt beat it until like 3 years ago.

I dont think it has peaked but I feel the same way, I'm not as excited as I used to be. I havent finished FF12 yet. I like the battle system, but I dont like how the main character, Vaan, is not strongly tied to the story.
I think X had more memorable songs in it, but XII had some good ones too.
I liked X overall more, but XII deserves credit because there were some really amazing themes in it. I really liked the Esper Battle Theme, Symphonic Poem, the main FF Theme, and the Arcades theme.

Yea, the esper battle theme was really good, but I liked the FFX soundtrack better because it was more emotional.
For me it definetely has to be the final boss (I forget his name)after Trance Kuja in FF9. Whenever you died you would have to fight Trance Kuja again, which was annoying.The final bosshad this attack that either poisoned, silenced, blinded, petrified, or killed your party members, it almost never missed. It took me forever to beat him.:evil:
