Ok im on my 3rd play through of the game. Its on hard and no vita-chambers. Im also going for the tonic collector ahievement, now I looked them up and i've seen three tonics that say you get em after rescuing little sisters. Is this true? Can I only get those tonics through rescuing? Because i've been harvesting them the whole time, so unless they appear in a u-invent or gatherer's garden i'm gonna be pissed.

I have an older HDTV that only does 1080i. What I don't get is why motorstorm and uncharted both say 720p on the box but 1 upscales and 1 downscaled to a lower resolution or standard definition it looked so bad. UTIII also looks like crap, so i'm thinking it downscaled as well. Anyone tell me what the hell is goin on? Is this gonna be gonna be a problem with all PS3 games?

^...but they did release a console that has a 'fundamental' (read: inadequate cooling system) design flaw. To me, there is a big difference that does depend on what position you place it in.

I personally, would not keep the system running horizontal for much longer than a few hours and that's just sitting at the dashboard.Gregoroth

Yeah its sad, everything else about the 360 is great. Definitely prefer it over my PS3. If the 360 had the same hardware reliability the PS3 and Wii wouldn't stand a chance IMO.

My system is kept vertical.

Vertical -

1. MUCH better ventilation - motherboard-side stays cooler (leave it on for 45 mins in both positions and see for yourself)
2. Low chance of disc scratching (needs to be positioned in a secure area. My console is on it's own away from my desk where it cannot be moved)

Horizontal -

1. Gets uncomfortably hot on the motherboard-side. (Internals must be scorching - may not apply to the 'Falcon' model)
2. No real chance of accidental disc scratchingGregoroth

My elite is vertical because of space issues, I heard the 360 draws in cool air from the bottom vent. Am I blocking the air flow in the vertical position?

*My friend has a funny setup, he puts 3 dvd cases under his 360 in the horizontal position. So no disc scratches and better ventilation I guess since its not sitting on its side and building up heat*

I got an elite for christmas and want to do all I can to make its lifespan as long as possible. I want to keep it as cool as possible, so my question is whether the horizontal or vertical position is better. I've read that the 360 draws in cool air from the bottom vent, is this true? Am I blocking the air flow by having it in the vertical position? How do you guys have your 360 setup?
