Played through the prologue and a bit of the first stage and I think this game is F***ing awesome! It's pretty much what House of the Dead would be if it was a hack n' slash game with a twisted sense of humor. Lolipop Chainsaw is part of a new genre that pays tribute to the B-Horror/Action Grind House films joining games such as Wet, Mad World, No More Heroes, House of the Dead: Overkill, Blood Will Tell, Samurai Western etc... While games usually have some far out $#!t happening, games like Lolipop Chainsaw as well as the ones previously mentioned help retain the movie art form known as Grind House.

So far this game has a b****ing soundtrack and is almost as good as Wet, it also compliments the atmosphere of the game extremely well. Combat is about the only thing that is simple at first but you also have the ability to buy new moves and combos although, I am still unsure of how much depth these upgrades will add to the combat. Also, this game oozes with replay value since it's arcade gameplay will satisfy most high score junkies. My game of the year so far.

All I see is two's, three's, four's, sixes, and reboots. I'm tired of sequels... P-100 is the only correct response for this thread

I really liked Platinum Games P-100 game from what I saw of it. I thought it looked quite a fun game to play.Archangel3371
F**k yeah! P-100 looks awesome and it looks like a blast to play. Spiritual successor to Viewtiful Joe comfirmed. I would buy a Wii U for P-100.

Pro Controller will be used to play down loadable Game Cube games and the rest of their VC releases. It will most likely be used as a second option just like the Classic Controller. Also Wii U only supports 1 tablet per console so obviously...... multi-player.

Also..... no such thing as hardcore..... it's more like conventional.

Arkam City had a great cast of villain's and I thought it was right on par with The Long Halloween and Batman: Hush. Anyway, I think Batman's recent story arcs, Court of the Owls and Night of the Owls would make a great video game. It's a lot to explain, but so far the main villains the Talons are giving the bat family all they can handle. I would also like to see Jim Gordon's son who is a psychotic killer and wants to kill Barbara (batgirl). Throw in Raj al ghul (probably didn't spell that right) and the focus of the story should be based on the history of Gotham which is pretty much all the rage in Scott's Snyder's recent comic run.

I have a question about The Joker. Maybe Grammaton can please answer this question, but is Joker a master martial artist as well or is he just an expert in fighting? I saw footage of his fighting style on the PS3 version of Arkham and it sounds like he's trained a lot. Maybe not as dedicated or intensely as Bruce Wayne/Batman did, but enough to know what he's doing. Still, is he a master of fighting, like how Batman is? If so, what is his style of fighting?

Metamania

No.

The only thing Joker is a master of is F***ing with Batman and those close to him.

[QUOTE="TheFallenDemon"]

so do we get to kill batman this time around?

TheFallenDemon

In the HQ DLC? No. You will be going into Arkham City as both Batman and Robin as you attempt to put a stop to Harley and her plan for revenge.

well dammit i wanted to play as the villain for once

I'm pretty sure you play as Harley.... "As previously hinted in a list of PS3 Trophies, WB Games and Rocksteady Studios confirmed today a new downloadable content pack for "Batman: Arkham City," titled "Harley Quinns Revenge," will be available starting next week for around $6.99 (or 560 Microsoft points). Shell fight her way through a series of missions, earning trophies such as "Hows It Hanging?" (where you clean up the Dry Docks) and "Breaking and Entering" (where she finds a way into a secret base). No word yet if the DLC will include a face-off against Batman, but that would certainly make things interesting." From the CBR link I posted earlier.

A game of the year edition is coming? Awesome! I think I'll be trading in my original copy for the GOTY edition on April 30th! Any idea how much it will go for?

According to CBR it will retail for $59.99 and will include all the previous download content, the new "Harley Quinns Revenge" DLC, and the Batman: Year One animated film which is great.

Harley Quinns Revenge will cost $6.99 or 560 Xbox points.

@ TC you failed to mention House of the Dead: Overkill, A Boy and his Blob, Sin and Punishment 2, Mad World, Contra ReBirth, Castlevania ReBirth, Ghost Squad etc.... I think the Wii is fine as a stand alone console and if it were my primary console then I would be happy with it, to say that all the Wii has is Nintendo Titles is just flat out wrong. That's like saying all the 360 has is FPS or all PS3 has is Bluray movies. I've never seen a system attract so much hate. I mean sure, Genesis vs. SNES was just silly fanboys and not so sublimal messaging by the media but, the amount of anger and hate towards the Wii has certainly reached all time levels of disgusted gamers. Also, Wii threads attract flys like $#!t. The Wii isn't perfect but, neither are it's competitors. You can't go wrong with any of the three being your primary system and each one has something to offer. The same people who say waggle sucks, sure were thrilled when move and kinnect were announced. If you own all three great! But, seriously who has time to play every game worth playing?
