I've already asked on the RTW board and no one helped so I guess I'll ask here. I bought the game about a week ago and played it for about 3 days. Well on the fourth day I had it I tried to play it and the first screen that say rome: total war(the little one) comes up then it closes and it just stays on the desktop. I've tried re-installing it (4 times trying new things), updating my video drivers,updating windows,updating the game to 1.3 and multiple virus/spyware scans. I'm pretty much out of ideas and any help at all would be much appreciated.
My system specs are: Pentium D clocked at 2.66 Ghz (dual core) 1024Mb DDR2 RAM ATI Raedeon 256Mb X600 hyper-memory Windows XP
Not great, I know. But it runs the game flawlessly.
