This guy is hilarious, because he reminds me of a Drunk Used Car Salesman. Seriously though, it's just a game system, ffs. PS3 will sell out at launch, but will suffer the fate of high priced game consoles in the 90s... mark my words.
I'd be willing to bet that mgsseries4life is a Sony paid mole. Why else would he/she go to such great lengths to post pro-sony information on internet forums. For those not familiar with sleazy marketing tactics, advertising agencies routinely hire independent contractors (if you will) to praise products online in forums. This practice has been going on since the internet has become mainstream. Also, it is unlikely that mgsseries even owns a 360, but simply tries to set up a stawman in his/her attempts to play up the PS3. It's really quite pathetic. Don't believe this guy/gal, think for yourselves and do your own research. Not even the most rabid fanboy/gal would go to such lengths to play up another system will downplaying another unless they are paid to do so. MGS, if you really have a 360, then what is your gamertag? I really want you to prove me wrong for both of our sakes... I just find it incredibly unfathomable that someone would waste so much time praising another system without all of the facts present... Please, I beg you, prove me wrong... what's your gamertag?
mgsseries4life, you are an incredible Sony spokesman, lol. Seriously, are you getting paid to troll on these forums to bash the 360? All of your arguments make the error of imposing a false dichotomy, and you ignore the fact that blu-ray is an unproven format, and that the PS3 hasn't truly been benchmark tested yet, (as the final specs are not yet known to the public). You're not winning over anybody with your pointless rhetoric. You may fight to the death over this, but mark my words, sony has made a mistake. As an older gamer who has owned every system since the Atari 2600 (exlcuding Virtual Boy, lol), price can ruin a great system. A case in point would be the Neo-Geo or perhaps even the 3DO. For their time, they were vastly superior systems in design and scope, but ultimately failed due to their price. Even when the 3DO had its price lowered, it was already too late as the public was already turned off, (and the current generation was nearing its end). You may argue that the 360 is more expensive when you add up all the accessories that you 'have' to buy for it, but the simple fact is that console makers have been doing this for as long as I can remember... (i.e. selling accessories separately, and making a lot of money in addition to the base console). Sony's main error is not having a reasonably priced based system, which will likely alienate many consumers. It is not unreasonable to argue that consumers enjoy buying the base system, and then buying accessories at their own pace, according to their gaming needs. The problem with the PS3 is that this choice does not exist, when it should. Sony's PS3 is nothing more than a trojan horse for Blu-Ray in an effort to get a leg up on the format wars. And the controller? Don't even get me started on why that design is impractical for most gamers' needs...
