Hi, I'm Stephen Speilberg and I've been selling out for 30 years now. I'm extremely overrated and I the best I can do is tell stories.

I was looking forward to Alan Wake until I the sci-fi bull and piss poor narration. Why do video games have to be a medium for failed writers. The gameplay still looks fantastic but its not the great writing I was hoping for.

[QUOTE="clone01"]its all opinion, and i've yet to play through the entire game, but Bioshock comes to mind. Condemned 2 was pretty solid, too, IMO.Pariah-
Oh my God--NO!! Bioshock's story was an abortion that just went out of its way to trash Ayn Rand and Condemned 2 was a like a slap in the face.

First, Ayn Rand's philosophy and poor writing deserve to be trashed. It wasn't only the Atlas Shrugged in Bioshock that made it great; the other queues taken from literary texts ranging from Crime and Punishment to a handful of Fitzgerald's works make it a great tale. There was a clear purpose in mind when crafting the game and it shows to any and all who are even somewhat familiar with legitimate literature and philosophy, something the huge majority of games unfortunately seem to struggle with.

Saying the story of Infamous is better than that of MGSIV or Bioshock (especially Bioshock; Ayn Rand and objectivism are both ridiculous) is like saying The DaVinci Code is a better work of fiction than Ulysses or that Citizen Kane was worse than Slumdog Millionaire; it's just not true. There are stories and then there are works, and Infamous is a story.

I still play CoD:UO online all the time, something I can't say about 4, even though 4 is 6 months old and UO is about 5? years old.

[QUOTE="Sir_BIGnuts"]

I'm will never buy another CoD unless: 1. Made by Infinity Ward 2. PC Exclusive

Number 2 is never going to happen, so looks like I'm going to be missing out.

Can't you use a M/KB on PS3?

Has nothing to do with that, it's just that as soon as the franchise hit consoles it went down the drain. Obviously the original console version (I don't remember the title) was crap, but CoD2 and everything after that was dumbed down from the original once it hit consoles.

IGN UK. Read the UK review for GTA IV then read the US review. The superb writing by the British reviewer versus the lackluster writing of the American writer proves it.

I can't believe Clevland is on the list but Boston isn't. Working for the Irish mob in South Boston during the 70's would be the best thing ever.
