[QUOTE="BrooklynBomber"][QUOTE="WhOOmpa260"][QUOTE="BrooklynBomber"][QUOTE="WhOOmpa260"]

[QUOTE="X360PS3AMD05"]Um............they're the best procs right now........for gaming.............Roland123_basic

Um.........the E6850 is the best non-extreme model for gaming right now (faster stock speeds). In the future, however the Q6600 will reign supreme.

Roland- the price for a rig like that is great, you'd better hope you get a case with decent airflow though, cos a quad core + an 8800 puts out a lot of heat. How many fans will you have in the case? For comparison, the most popular high-end gaming case is the antec 900 and it has 3x120mm, 1x200mm fans and room for 2 more 120mm.

Btw Brooklyn, the only way you're getting a Q6600 (G0 or not) to 3.4/3.6 ghz is on water, it ain't easy. A good overclock for aftermarket air cooling is 3.2 and Stock is 3.0 (you'd need a decent case if you had stock though)

I have built 2 pc's with that cpu and stepping both hit 3.4 stable but 1 could go to 3.6stable. I assume everybody laps their cpu before they attemp to oc them and it was all air in a stacker 830 case with zalman 9700 cooler.

Well you must have had a very lucky batch. And im curious, were/are you running the cpu @3.4/3.6 stable while leaving it at those speeds for regular use or did you overclock to 3.4/3.6 stable and then bring it down for conventional use? Cos im talking about decent temps for conventional use, not the highest stable overclock.

The 2 pc's I built were for friends with that setup the load temps were no higher than 30C running prime and video encoding togeather.

btw dude what is with your sig.... i have never seen that video but it seems to me that the black guy in the foreground should fight his own fights instead of having his friends sneak up on the dude he is having an argument with to punch him while he isnt aware.... that is flat out chicken ****

yeah true. sucker punch **** for real. anyway i have a question for you pros. when you say most game don't fully use the quad core does the game actually run slower than it normally would on a single or dual core ? is there game that fully use dual core?

Here's mine, I wish I could have fit it in one photo, and I have a lot of stuff in the cabinets like game systems, accessories, and games. It also looks way better close up. The furniture is a combination from IKEA. Some of the specifics that are not included in the pictures are a Sega Dreamcast, Nintendo 64, Game boy Advance SP, Original Xbox, and a Gameboy Color. Also about 30- 70 PC games.

I'm really looking foward to UT3 and CoD4 THE MOST and alot of people said those game will be much better for the PC plus i like battlefield 2 :D. I'm kinda newbie to computer stuff, I don't know what's compatible with what too many hardware :( makes my little head explode !! if anyone can help me choose the pieces at www.ncix.com id really appreciate it :) id like to run at stock speed no overclocking because i don't know anything about overclock lol and someone's gonna help me connect all the piece together. id really like the 8800 GTS 320mb will that run those game nicely? what " monitor should i have? 17" - 22" good? does anyone have a G7 logitech mouse? is that a good wireless mouse? If you suggest i get a PS3 for 632 $ (tax include) should I go for a 22" monitor and use HDMI -> DVI? must it be male to male or male to female cable? thank you allllll big hugsssssssssss :)
