@screamingsatori: I am playing on PC and even there I immediately tried to increase the font size. It’s odd because they have some of the most extensive subtitle options I have seen in a game, but no way to make the UI bigger.

Also, I think the texture blur is due to them being overly aggressive with Unreal’s TAA filter. I’ve seen it in other Unreal Engine games but in most of them there is a slider to lower the intensity.

@mogan: I mean what exactly would you suggest people comment on in an article about politicians and political injustice if not politics? It’s not like I am bringing this up in an article about a new season of Fortnite. And it’s not like anyone is spewing hate speech either. Post a political article, expect political comments.

@edwardnygma: You know who also cannot put a sentence together and has only a basic grasp of US law? Donald Trump. People underestimated him just like you are doing with her and now he is president. If being qualified was a requirement to getting a job in Washington we’d have about 10 senators and 50 congressmen. Also our last president would have left office by resignation after Watergate. Reagan? Bush 1 or 2? Clinton? None of them were qualified and only Bush sr could be argued as having above average intelligence. Meanwhile Obama was at least a constitutional lawyer, but he had far too little experience as an elected official to be qualified for the top job.

@Gelugon_baat: I'm going to both agree and disagree. Yes it is hard, but this is a fricking Tom Clancy game from one of the largest publishers in the world. Games going all the way back to Quake have managed to get your characters hands to correctly wrap around each gun. So is it hard? Yes, but it's also something done correctly by hundreds of games for multiple decades, including multiple games made by this exact studio, including previous Ghost Recon games.

@Oogazi: It is actually not uncommon at all. I could list a dozen mobile games I played in the last month that had near identical options. Not that those options are ever good, but I wouldn’t describe this system as out of the ordinary.

@G-Corleone: I don't think it is biased. I think Phil Spencer is actually just a really awesome dude who is getting the credit he deserves. Everyone I know who has ever spoken to him or worked with him have said he is as genuine as it gets and that he truly believes in what he says. I understand having a lot of cynicism on the internet these days but this article jives with everything I have heard about the man, leading me to believe that he really is just that good.

See other publishers. You release the beta demo during the actual beta phase of development and then are able to actually fix the game before you release it. Amazing concept right. First fix the game. Then sell the game. Very hard to manage when your beta test occurs after the discs have already been pressed. Mind blowing, I know but I have faith you can manage this incredible feat.

The thing I loved about Nolan's Joker was how much he played around with the origin. Joker got those scars somehow, but you are never really going to know what that somehow is. And at the end of the day, Joker doesn't have a reason. He doesn't have a motive, and giving him one is the same as when they tried giving Michael Meyers reason and logic in Rob Zombie's Halloween movies. The thing that makes those movies so scary is the same thing that makes the Joker so perfect as Batman's nemesis. He is just evil. There is no why. And without a why the Joker can't be reasoned with. No amount of prison time will deter him, no amount of therapy will rehabilitate him. He is The Joker. There is no one else, nor was there ever. And that is what makes him great.

I might have purchased something through this sale despite Epic's policy issues if their store wasn't complete and utter bollocks. It is no easy feat to design a store that somehow makes Origin and Uplay look like masterful pieces of software by comparison but Epic has done just that. Some basic things that were missing as I tried to take advantage of this sale: Game pages don't list the genre of a title, its developer, publisher, or any other standard pieces of information that might allow me to make an informed purchase. User reviews are not present. User created tags are not present. User ratings are not present, nor are links to critic reviews or ratings. No per game forums or per game discussions. No way for developers to post updates and news. Just overall a major lack of information that makes it all but impossible to make an informed purchase without having to first visit numerous other sites. When you've made a less customer friendly piece of software than EA you have failed.

@ninjaxams: Except Ubisoft is making a point of saying it is going to tackle PTSD. I think the concern is less that it is going to not take war seriously, and more that it is going to try to take it seriously and fail. In the end I would rather a ridiculous Widelands narrative than one that goes for something fairly deep and complex and butchers it.
