[QUOTE="nintendoboy16"][QUOTE="J4F8"]

Around here on Brazil a Nintendo Wii costs R$ 900 (U$ 360) and Xbox 360 (Official by M$) costs R$ 2399 (U$ 1.150) and if you now your way around U$ 700.

But the real fault is made by the government that charges 60% of taxes of these things. You guys from US may get terrified but if Brazil's gov. doesn't lower this taxes, nothing will ever be fair around here.

Basically, everyone around here have one of these 'cause its the only way to have fun with eletronics.

About Zeebo, it's a huge fail really. Nobody I know will buy it 'cause X360 is really loved around here. It's a shame that 90% of the Brazilian owners use pirated games.

Can you believe that Gears Of War today costs R$ 139 (U$ 65) here? Prices never drop here so I prefer buying from US.

What's really hard here is to get the consoles. They come from Paraguay by contraband and already modified to play pirated games. It really sucks.

IuriBarcelos

Wii's are that pricey in Brazil? Damn! That's expensive.

Yep, eletronics are really expensive around here, especially to people like me, who actually pay for the games. As was said, more than 90% of gamers here only buy the console. I know a lot of people that have never seen a PSP UMD and yet have more than a hundred games, lol. People often call me dumb for actually buying games! Yep, that's the mentality around here.

I'm just like you. I buy ALL my gaming stuff at ebay, with the only exception being my 360, that I bought in a trip to Spain, and my PSP, that I bought in trip to the US. My games, controllers, cables and so on are all from ebay. Sometimes I pay heavy taxes to customs, but I feel honest doing so and nothing is better than this.

[QUOTE="Mckenna1845"]lol a console aimed at developing countries that's more expensive than the major systems. Is the zeebo a sister company of apple? overcharging for less powerful products.Nokanhav

The problem is that these countries can't get the systems or the games.

What!? I live at Brazil and I guarantee to you that we can get the system and the games. I have myself a Xbox 1, a xbox 360, a PSP, a Gamecube and a Nintendo Wii and my combined library have about 500 games (I have more games than any of my friends living in EU and US).

The game simply does not work.

WeAreVen0m

Sounds like you already solved the mystery. Used games aren't very reliable. Hopefully you saved the receipt and you can take it back. If not, let this be a lesson to you: ALWAYS save reciepts for used games.

I bought this game at a flee market on the other side of my country. I've payed about $8.00 usd for it. Will cost me more to return and get my money back than what the game itself worth. But I got a lesson indeed: ALWAYS test a used game before take it home.

Hello guys. I was traveling last week and bought an used copy of Fifa 07 for a bargain. I was very satisfied until get home today and try to play it.

The game loads and all, but don't go further than the main screen. Does not appear that "press start" message or anything, but the 360 dashboard still running (I can call dash menu and all - but the game itself does not respond).

I tried to play it with and without hdd and my memory unit but neither way worked. There's no message of damaged or dirty disk. The game simply does not work.

All my other games still working fine.

Does someone of you have a clue of what is happening?

I made a video and posted it on youtube to show you exactly what is happening:

Thank you for any help.

Your dvd drive is going . This happened to my 2nd 360 . I could play all my games except Viva Pinata. Sometimes i could play Viva for a couple hours , other times disc read error right away . The 360 gradually started to do this with the rest of the games until it took an hour just to get a game to load without an error . I'd just send the 360 in before it totally goes , and happens at a time where you really want to play something .

So, my system is not even a week old and is already with a faulty drive? I´m really starting to regret buying this...

[QUOTE="Roxas12934"]send in your xbox. i did that and now the problem isa fixed! haha. phoneing 1-800-4MY-XBOX is the best number to phone. they will tell you everything you need to know :Dcoolman437

I telephoned to the Microsoft´s technical assistance today and the attendant told me that it was an issue involving a bug between reading data from the HDD and copying it from the game dvd. He told to me to try play the game without the HDD.

To my surprise, it worked. I played almost all day without any error, but I can´t save... Crap! I will buy one of these Memory Cards. I live outside USA and it´s cheaper to use a palliative solution than send my entire system to MS.

Ok not to be mean to you man but your a moron for just saying o ok. The whole purpose of you know buying a system with a HDD is to use the HDD on "ALL" games not 90% of them call them back and get them to fix this problem dont spend anymore money on a memory card thats just plain idoitic if you do.

I live at Brazil, bought my 360 at Spain and My Halo3 copy at UK... I believe it will be very complicate to call them back and get them to fix this problem.

I will try to call brazilian MS support, but I don´t know if they will honor my guarantee (besides the fact that my system is brand new). I´m a lawyer and I´m already thinking about sue MS if they don´t.

This is driving me insane!!! This morning, I played for about two hours without any problem. Tonight, it was giving read error even during the initial loading...

It´s very frustraiting!

Both my system and my halo 3 disc are brand new. I believe it´s a software related issue. It can´t be anything else, because every other game runs just fine.
