Wii's are that pricey in Brazil? Damn! That's expensive.[QUOTE="nintendoboy16"][QUOTE="J4F8"]
Around here on Brazil a Nintendo Wii costs R$ 900 (U$ 360) and Xbox 360 (Official by M$) costs R$ 2399 (U$ 1.150) and if you now your way around U$ 700.
But the real fault is made by the government that charges 60% of taxes of these things. You guys from US may get terrified but if Brazil's gov. doesn't lower this taxes, nothing will ever be fair around here.
Basically, everyone around here have one of these 'cause its the only way to have fun with eletronics.
About Zeebo, it's a huge fail really. Nobody I know will buy it 'cause X360 is really loved around here. It's a shame that 90% of the Brazilian owners use pirated games.
Can you believe that Gears Of War today costs R$ 139 (U$ 65) here? Prices never drop here so I prefer buying from US.
What's really hard here is to get the consoles. They come from Paraguay by contraband and already modified to play pirated games. It really sucks.

Yep, eletronics are really expensive around here, especially to people like me, who actually pay for the games. As was said, more than 90% of gamers here only buy the console. I know a lot of people that have never seen a PSP UMD and yet have more than a hundred games, lol. People often call me dumb for actually buying games! Yep, that's the mentality around here.
I'm just like you. I buy ALL my gaming stuff at ebay, with the only exception being my 360, that I bought in a trip to Spain, and my PSP, that I bought in trip to the US. My games, controllers, cables and so on are all from ebay. Sometimes I pay heavy taxes to customs, but I feel honest doing so and nothing is better than this.
