@Mausolus I was wondering the same thing. I want to get this game, but I'm really confused -- it looks like it's early access, but this review doesn't seem to be of an early access game.

@ylfaer I agree. I'm surprised it got such a high score here. It is a pretty shallow game.

@HydePark1980 Thank you, sir. Thank you. I remember back when turn-based games used to exist, and RPGs came out more than once a year. And the thing is, I like shooters. But dear god, that genre is getting old. They have beaten that into the ground.

The amazing thing is that shooters still do sell well in general. Just look at Black Ops 2 sales figures. I guess that's what happens when companies try to appeal to the largest market available.

@Vegamyster I loved Dead Island, so I do agree with the IGN review. But you gotta remember that IGN rates everything highly.

Well, it's good to see the review on this. I loved the first one, so I'm still considering getting Riptide. But at least I have a fair warning now if it turns out disappointing.

If you people want high scores for everything in order to validate your own opinions, then go to IGN. Gamespot has higher standards, so either accept that or move on.

I enjoyed Dead Space 3, and I've really grown to like Isaac and Ellie. I hope the series isn't cancelled.
