@Jd234: Yup. This type of speedrunning look ago passed the point of "wow, cool", or "oh that's kinda neat". Now it's basically humans being reduced to nothing but slaves to their digital machine gods - basically rats racing through the same virtual (i.e. make-believe) mazes over and over again, trying desperately to get another drop of dopamine to try and give their pointless life some meaning. It's just sad. With articles like this the gaming media is promoting mental illness and obsessive compulsive disorder. A century ago, people used to throw themselves over Niagara Falls in a barrel to try and get media attention. Now they lock themselves away and run imaginary mazes over and over and over and over and over and over again...

@jenovaschilld: That Maximilian Dood fellow was in fanboy mode from the moment the remake was first announced. Not exactly the toughest critic in the world to get high praise from.

Cellphones are not serious gaming platforms. When will Square learn this.

@lion2447: They're making two other games only on mobile. It's another big disjointed mess just like the last time they made FFVII spinoffs a decade ago. You need to own 3+ systems just to keep up with the story...

Not sure if a lawsuit will stick, but he may get charged with a crime by securities regulators for manipulating stock markets if he is indeed employed in the industry.

@danmonger: I haven't heard of any woman who finds new millennial Lara more interesting or inspiring as a character than classic Lara. Her sex appeal was one part of her package along with brawn and brains. New younger Lara pales in comparison even if she might be more "acceptable" by today's politically correct standards. That's precisely why she's so dry and boring as a character. Another example is Rey in Star Wars. Don't know anyone who thinks she's a better character than Princess Leia.

@taven: I'm not really sure what either she, or you, are talking about. How can she complain about being sexualized and yet lend her voice to a cringey sex scene with grunting and topless nudity? Participating in the making of sex scenes is the very definition of sexualizing the video game medium and its characters. She's free to do that, but she shouldn't get self-righteous and pretend she's doing anything but encouraging the whoring out of game characters.

@Barighm: I find it weird to think that Japanese people might have a long commute (not saying they don't). Most people in Japan all live in the same city, Tokyo, and they've invested heavily in their railways (including high speed). So why would there be a long commute?

The Left can't censor its way to being popular. The more it censors, the less popular it becomes. Banned stuff is always the most popular. Any kid in grade school can tell you this.

4K? OLED? Nah, that's not a Nintendo console. I think he's found the next Sony handheld.
