I think the problem is that high expectations were fogging up people's perception of the games. As well as the fact critics tend to overlook the basic playability of some games. As well as the fun factor. And no, I read another review that agrees with me.

This is simply a decent shooter. Not amazing, but decent. Not deserving of this hate.

@ILuvGameSpot123 Okay telling you now, if you like the idea of blasting the crap out of xenomorphs with a pulse rifle, being a colonial marine, or driving a power loader... this game is for you. I'm a huge alien fan, but also picky about shooters. This plays pretty well and does what you'd expect from it. It's not perfect, but I've been playing 'Alien: Trilogy' for the PS1, and this is that but with cooler guns, customizability, co-op, multiplayer, and better graphics. No disappointment here.

Yeah no. I'm so done listening to Gamespot reviewers. This game IS full of tension and suspense. It's also full of everything I expected from an Aliens game. YOU SHOOT ALIENS.

The hell else did you expect? And the game is very hard. I dunno what game you played but SERIOUSLY.
