Pretty sure it does, since I never bought an audio card.

Okay here's the thing: during every single cutscene the sound randomly starts repeating itself for 5 seconds, then it plays normally for 1 second, and goes back to repeating the last played sound. It makes the single player game UNPLAYABLE.

My audio card is Realtek AC97 and my speakers are Logitech X-540. The audio card is updated with A4.06 drivers for 98/98/Me/2000/XP/2003 downloaded from http://www.realtek.com.tw/Downloads/downloadsCheck.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=23&PFid=23&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false.

So far I got the latest audio card drivers, and reinstalled the game - still has the same problem. Need urgent help!!!

I just hate console gaming period. And I hate console gamers, too. They don't understand that playing at a higher resolution, with maximum anisitropy, makes ALL the difference.

God damn "hardcore gamers". I can have more fun playing Contra on NES on a crappy 80's TV than FarCry 2 on a 50" plasma with HDMI. Why? Because it's more FUN TO PLAY. That's what games were designed for and should always be about. Enjoyable story, exciting action, that's what it should be about. I understand if a game comes out today and the graphics are bad for today's standards., then yeah, complain all you want. But this guy is just sad. Games that are based around good graphics aren't even worth playing. Doom>Crysis.

I agree totally...but did you say Doom is better than Crysis !!!!

To me all Crysis is is a showcase of graphics. apart from the graphics, it's an average game. IMHO CoD4 is way better.

First day I got it, it played fine and had no problems apart from a few lags (i just barely make it into the reccomended settings category), but today the game starts randomly shutting off, a "Program has stopped working" window appears. I tried updating drivers and it doesn't help. I also tried re-installing the game, but I can't do even that because I get a -5001 InstallShield error. Is there any way to fix this, possibly without deleting the save file? If it helps at all:

1 GB RAM

GeForce 6800

Pentium D 800, I think about 2.7 GHz,

And it's the British Game of the Year 2-disc edition with knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles expansions.
