It's worrying to say the least. I liked the first game alot, but it was hard to get into the second because of how much catching up I had to do. That was with one game seperating the two. I have a feeling that when 3 eventually comes out it's going to be incomprehensible.

Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice (Strategy RPG like Fire Emblem). Fun game with lots (read: LOTS) of potential playtime. It's quirky, and very anime-esque but not like Eternal Sonata is. 4 is out, but I haven't played that one so I can't recommend either way. You don't really need to have played the other games in the series. You'll miss out on some jokes and references but that's about it. 1 & 2 were released on psp (1 was also on DS) and would be easier to get than their original ps2 versions, so there's that.

Valkyria Chronicles - Another Strategy RPG, but this one is semi-Real time. If you've ever played Worms, it's like that, but on a grander scale. Good story and the gameplay is really engaging.

I saw someone mention Dragon Quest VIII for PS2. This one's really old-school in feel. It reminds me of a SNES rpg. Uncomplicated, and the story is kinda basic, but just a really solid game overall. So if you can get your hands on it (and can play ps2 games) check it out.

Final Fantasy 7,8 & 9 are on PSN if you haven't played those.

That's all I've got for now

I'll let you make of that what you will. Personally I think there's been alot of good games this year, but very few major releases that actually advanced gaming in any meaningful way. Minecraft was released in Beta in 2010 and alpha the year before so idk if you can count that, L.A. Noire did some cool things. I don't know how much Skyrim really innovated, and they heartily deserve all the bad press they get for the PS3 version.

wait would this be like we only lived up to 1933 or would we know all the bad stuff hitler would do? fl4tlined

That's my question. Are we time-travellers already aware of what Hitler will reveal himself to be? Or are we just kind of opposed to him politically or something. I wouldn't steal Stephen Harper's wallet for instance even though I don't like having him as prime minister.

Are people really still talking about this? Like, i'm not in some grand meeting of all the trolls ever? This is a real discussion?

Look, here's the deal OT:

Nobody cares if you like rock.
Nobody cares if you dislike rock.
Nobody cares if you like hip-hop.
Nobody cares if you dislike hip-hop.
Nobody cares if you like/dislike any genre of music or even if you don't have an opinion either way.

Nobody cares what altitude your music occupies.
Nobody cares what the people in your vicinity listen to or whether your taste in music alienates you from, or helps you form a bond with them.

Rock has good songs and good bands that are relevant today.
Hip-hop has good songs and good bands that are relevant today.
Both have bands and songs that were really only relevant 10 years ago.
Neither are free of songs and bands that aren't so good and exemplify any stereotype anyone cares to bring up.

Forza4champion is possibly trolling you really hard, or just has no interest in rock whatsoever. Either way, nobody cares. None of you are going to make him see any kind of 'Light.'

By the same token, Forza4champion if, by some cosmic joke of the universe, you aren't being an elite troll I'll reiterate: Nobody cares. You are not going to make anyone see any kind of 'Light' about hip-hop.

You know what usefulness has come out of this thread? The only meaningful posts have been from people who posted links to songs that other people might enjoy. Now, this is Off-Topic Discussion and people are free to make topics about pretty much whatever they please, but can't we talk about that instead?
I don't know, I just think it would make a nice change to see a topic where someone makes a post like: "This is a good song in the genre of _____. It kind of reminds of _______. If you like _____ you might like this too: *link*" followed immediately by posts about what appealed/did not appeal to people about that particular song by people who followed the link in question.

Not sweeping generalizations by people who did not follow the link that out them as someone who does not often interact with people who have interests different than theirs.

Knock it off.

Are you sure that Collector's Edition is regular price? I would have expected it to be the usual $70 and above for stuff like this, but I can't seem to find any info on it. I'm more than ready to pre-order this baby, but Amazon hasn't updated some info (says it's releasing December this year), and no word on the CE either.

If pre-ordering the game gives you all that stuff, heck yeah, I was already there day one. If it isn't and is priced ten bucks more... then I am strongly considering the CE anyway. I must have this game.

_Dez_

Yep, its a regular priced $60 game. On amazon they have a note that says pre-orders will be bumped up to the collectors edition free of charge. I'm not sure if there's a cut-off date but presumably the collectors edition will be more expensive if you buy it after release.

[QUOTE="Roweanos313"]nevermind i used the missingno glitch to get rarecandies [...]fend_oblivion

I love that glitch. It makes lvl 99 Pokemon make for the best PvP battles.

Won't rare candies not give the full stats a Pokemon is supposed to have at level 100? EV trained and normally trained Pokemon have better stats than rare candied Pokemon.

The only downside is that you don't gain EVs when using rare candies. So if you already have 510 (or whatever the max is) then I'm pretty sure you can rare candy away if you want.
