Crackdown is far from "horrible". It's a solid 7, and suffers largely from not having enough to do (eg, it really feels rushed). The mechanics in Crackdown work very well though, and the environments are actually pretty well-designed. To be horrible, a game has to be broken in concept and execution. Crackdown was well-executed, but sparse. There's nothing really broken about it.Honestly Crackdown, you have no say in this war if you think crackdown is even a good game, the only reason people bought that is because it had the Halo 3 Beta. Has anyone gotten all the acheivements on Crackdown, or even beaten it.
Bottom Line, Horrible Game and Horrible Comparison, Because of that your opinions mean nothing.

That's the gameplan. Can't remember a time in recent memory when I wanted so many games for one system.

you either have the most messed up and selective taste in games, or you never owned a PS2.
PS2 was different. It had a lot of games, but they had really wide span in style and genre to the point that I imagine most PS2 owners were never really overwhelmed with titles. The stuff coming out on 360 is all aimed straight at the target audience (action games, shooters, and WRPGs), and it's all just piling one on the other. So I can see where that perspective would come from.[QUOTE="ReverieDLM"][QUOTE="Meu2k7"][QUOTE="ReverieDLM"][QUOTE="-D3MO-"]It wouldn't even make sense. The 360 is finally edging towards profitability. It'd be silly for them to bail out when they're finally on the verge of making the black on a 6 billion dollar loss-leader.MS GAmepaly: Ditch XBOX after this gen.

On the verge? how exactly?:S
Without the billion dollar warantee hit, the 360 was at nearly break-even point for the last fiscal year. With the release of Halo this year and the warantee issue behind them, MS is pretty much guaranteed to see the 360 in the black for FY08.I would like some proof on this, they was 6 billion in debt before, thats not going away because of Halo .. hell has the Xbox even hit 13 million? ... even then ... no chance.
I never claimed that they would be profitable over their lifetime. I said that they would be profitable for FY08. This is obviously a very different claim. The point is that at the point that they are starting to make back their money, it's silly to bail out when they can just press on and continue to make more money with the potential to hit lifetime profitibility in the long haul.[QUOTE="ReverieDLM"][QUOTE="-D3MO-"]It wouldn't even make sense. Yes make a profit then bail out....or
spend another billion creating the 720...going in the red again and try to break a profit
Except they wouldn't make a profit. Right now they have great brand-recognition and loyalty for XBox in America. Even if it cost them a billion in R&D to release another XBox, they now have two cycles under their belts and are well-equipped to do a much more cost effective job releasing it than the last two times. Minus the billion dollar hit that the 360 took in warantees, it would already be profitable (at only year 2). Given that, they have absolutely no reason to stop now. It makes zero business sense.
