Armor pieces as gear (helmet, chest, and leggings.....maybe shoulders), smoother difficulty curve, modding pieces into weapons, melee weapons (not as a primary weapon), a UI that isn't atrocious for the PC, either a story that isnt total suckage or just downplay the story even further to focus on the action, self-healing for every class, more interesting consumables along with a dedicated "use consumable" button, a map editor for PC, level sections that encourage multiple players.

Bout all i can think of that i really want.

That are some great suggestions! I'm a huge fan of the first one, never even thought of it, but it would be awesome to have armor pieces as gear :)

Dead Island, Arkham City, Skyrim, Bioshock Infinite, Tomb Raider and Sly 4.

LankyKong
I have to say, Arkham City does look good! But I haven't even played Arkham Asylum yet, except for the demo (which I loved!). In any case, I doubt I'll pick up Arkham City until I've finished Arkham Asylum. Just have to get off my lazy @ss and go pick up that darn game already!

I think we've had this type of thread happen recently, but here's my list...

Dead IslandGears Of War 3FIFA Soccer 12RageDark SoulsForza Motorsport 4Batman: Arkham CityKing Of Fighters XIIIThe Elder Scrolls V: SkyrimAssassin's Creed: RevelationsSaints Row: The ThirdGoldeneye 007 ReloadedUltimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3Pro Evolution Soccer 2012Deus Ex Human Revolution

Sonic Generations is a game that I may possibly be buying, but the rest above are what I'll be picking up for 2011. I would have added SSFIV V.2012, but that's free, so it doesn't count.

As far as 2012 goes, I will cross that bridge when I get there...

Metamania

I'm definitely looking forward to Saints Row: The Third. It's not a must-buy for me, but I will probably pick it up eventually. Dead Island looks like A LOT of fun! I might just have to add that game to my list as well :P

Make sure you have friends along for either game, because it will be a blast!

Will do! :P It's always more fun to slay zombies with your friends :D You connect on such a deep level, just by experiencing the sheer joy of killing alongside your friends, it's incredible actually.

Being able to customize your character.

Switching to 3rd person and having unique armor drops.

Smarter AI

Larger game world

Random dungeon generator

Borderlands was a great game anyways, still playing it now.

Me too, trying to rack up those last achievos atm. I hope the world is bigger as well. Although I loved the wasteland in Borderlands, it kinda felt a little linear or just too small. But I agree, Borderlands was a great game, and there wasn't any huge problems imo. As long as Gearbox doesn't just slam on a new skin and call it a day (I'm looking at you Valve!), I'm happy :D

I'm dying to play Gears of War 3, Battlefield 3 and Forza 4. I am also looking very forward to Skyrim and Mass Effect 3. I don't think I'll be playing anything outside those titles, unless I'm lucky enough to have money to blow on a few extras, which may include Uncharted 3 and the Metal Gear HD games. Nothing outside of the box, but I'm working with an extremely tight budget here.

Gears 3 is going to be a blast! Hope they focus on keeping the connection good (don't want another Gears 2 episode!) but I guess it'll be steady, seeing as it runs on dedicated servers. Definitely a smart move to go for dedicated!

Required reading!I am happy with those right there.

11. None of the old guns return AWESOME

Ikr. The guns in Borderlands was fun in the beginning, but as you go on it's almost just the same body used over and over again with different color and attachments.

id like it if gearbox tore down the loading barriers and made the whole thing one seemless world for a start. after that, replace the bland text boxes that nobody wants to read with the quest giver actually delivering the lines to the players. if people dont want to listen to it then they can walk away (although i think less people would walk away from a quest giver speaking to them like a person than just hit a button to get a memo out of their face). dont bother with a complex narrative. just populate the world with interesting quest givers and lots of loot and shoot depravity in between.LoG-Sacrament
I agree. I never really cared about the story or the information about the quest, I just wanted to do it as quickly as possible and earn the EXP. That drags the overall experience down, cause you don't get to embrace the world and it's content. I hope to see a strong story and like you said, the quest giver delivering the lines to the player.

List threads aren't allowed on GGD

On topic, I say Battlefield 3, Skyward Sword, Arkham City, Tomb Raider, and MAYBE MW3 :P

AvatarMan96
I'm sorry :S I guess I should read the rules more thoroughly.

I have around 40 pre-orders already, don't feel like listing them all, but the only game I get no matter what is Disgaea 4

ArchoNils2
WOW! That is a lot! I haven't played any of the Disgaea games yet, but I have to say, it does look interesting. I might check it out.
