Calling it SH will result in huge disappointments though. Living up to the SH ideal is nearly impossible without at least some help from the original team. The posted screenshots just don't relate to SH that much, instead relate to a game similar to Alan Wake (which wasn't a good horror game in my opinion). I think taking a different name would benefit the game a lot more because expectations won't be focused on a traditional SH game.
As much as I would like SH to return, I don't think it's going to happen unless they somehow manage to get people with the same mindset to work on it as the original team. I will give it the benefit of doubt... but I won't raise my hopes though.
I honestly stopped caring about Red Faction completely when I saw the first gameplay footage from the third game. This doesn't look in any shape interesting to me. The only Red Faction that I enjoyed a lot is the first one.
Atlus did a few puzzle orientated games in the past, so no surprise. Dark Messiah was a good game made by atlus, but ultimately flawed because of the story. I have high hopes for this game though-- it seems more story-centered and the puzzle element looks fun. It probably won't be a tense experience like Dark Messiah... but who knows maybe they nailed that element too.
Gaming as a whole is disappointing this gen, western devs are also not doing well (in other words). Remakes, sequels and rehashes of the same idea are very common this gen. Devs should focus less on the multiplayer aspect and more on the gameplay aspect in my opinion.
I don't like the overall design of the game so far. I don't know if this is going to be the most disappointing DMC game, but it definitely feels like a different game with the "DMC" name slapped on it at the moment. Even though I liked Heavenly Sword somewhat, the same thing can't be said about this game... oh well, time will tell.
