My thoughts on the game...Some aspects of it I was very impressed by, some were lacking but overall it's worth playing. Especially since its very cheap. I never heard of the game's previous development history so the changes obviously didn't bother me. The guns taken from enemies exploding after like 30 seconds was a bit annoying but as you progress and buy your own guns that becomes less of a problem. I thought the use of the glaive and the many abilities that come with it made for interesting gameplay. The graphics were extremely impressive and the environments were also constructed well. The idea of the protagonist gradually turning into one of the infected was also a very cool idea. Yes the gameplay can be repetitive at times but there are few games that aren't guilty of that and it wasn't enough to really put me off. After I played the Gears games Dark Sector made a great supplement as well. Despite the elements taken from previous games I thought they managed to produce a refreshing and original game, even the borrowed elements were made their own. I'd give it like an 8.5, not the best game I've ever played but still plenty of fun to be had for fans of survival horror/shooters.i thoroughly enjoyed dark sector as well, yet i can't help but give it a mediocre score since i acknowledge the game's flaws, mainly it's repetitivenss. your semi review though is more of a summary on what the game is, not your honest opinion of what you thought of the game.
