Can anyone tell me a really good RPG, I can play for free on the web. Somthing similar to WOW, or The Fellowship on facebook. I just dont want to have to pay for extra weapons or time, or armour. I want the whole thing to be free. Is there anything like that out there. Doesnt need fancy graphics, just pictures and numbers are fine. My imagination can do the rest.

I wonder if I seach on Ebay, I could build a retro system like that to run my old games. I expect shipping to cost more than the parts. LOL

Remember how every game, you had to set IRQ settings and use Soundblaster 16 and set your High Mem. I am not saying those are good ol days, becuase compared to today. That sucked. But how do you run those old games now in XP and Vista, why did I even keep my old games if they cant run anymore.

Does that mean my Bioshock and Fallout 3 wont work 10 years from now either. I guess I should keep all my old gaming PC's from now on. I chucked that Packard Bell 486 DX66out the Window years and years ago.

The other day, I tried to play Grim Fandango on my XP system. And it would not run without crashing at the video or just screwing up. And then I tried an older version of Heroes of Might and Magic, and then StoneKeep and the list goes on. I would love to play X-Com again, one of my favorites of all time.

Any thoughts or success stories you older gamers have would be appreciated.

Thanks for the answer, I have been doing some research on google and everybody is asking if it can run WOW. I dont give a flying #$## about WOW. But if it can run that on low settings, I should have no problem running games that were hot about 5 years ago. 3D or 2D. Im gonna check out goodoldgames.com since they make sure the games run on Vista too which is another of my concerns.

hehe, that was my question. What games can it run. I dont know. Only thing I know it can do graphically is run Hulu in fullscreen. Fulltilt Poker, and some DVD's. I have not done any gaming on it, becuase I dont know what it can run. It is a Intel GMA 4500M, thats all I know. I guess I could run the origianal Halflife and see if its possible. But I wouldnt mind if I was just restricted to older games like the Neverwinter Nights series or Diablo 2 if it can run those.

I have no idea at this point what its capabilities are gaming wise, if any.

I would say yes, I have had my Golden Orb 1 for over 4 years now, and it has been the coolest and quietest heatsink/fan combo I have ever had the pleasure to run. Had lots of success with Overclocking with my Orb. However, it is huge, make sure you mainboard can handle the size, even with your mem slots full, and powersupply near the motherboad. I believe the makers of the Orb have a webpage that lets you know if your mainboard is compatible with a Golden Orb. You may find out some good info on Newegg too from past buyers.

This is not my desktop computer, I know it wont run Crysis or probably anything in 3D. So Im thinking only older games or games like Peggle. It has no graphics card, but just an embedded graphics chip. (Intel GMA 4500M). I dont even know what that can do gaming wise or what I can run with it.

Thats why I posted this question. Games I like are FPS, Action, RPG, and RTS. But I am open for any game that is good. The operating system is Vista

So Im not sure what older games will run on that anyway, but if you guys know. Please share with me some great titles so I can do more than just surf, write, and play online Poker.

Thanks

My wife hates movies where dogs get killed, children ok, people ok. But not dogs. Funny, I know.

In the comic, there is a scene involving Rorshacks past that involves the cut of heads of dogs, it even makes the cover of one of the issues I believe.

I was wondering if they show that dog scene in the movie or not?

The only one I said was Company of Heroes. All the other ones do play in windowed mode, but I have conquered them. I need a game I havnt played before that I can play in windowed mode, and it cannot be online. The only game I have seen so far is that one about the ice skates.

And I do know how to run PC and google, I tried adding -window to the exe in the target directory under properties on the game icon, but it does not like -window in all the games I tried. Company of Heroes, Heroes of Might and Magic, Red Alert...ect.
