I think part of the problem is that there are video ads playing in the sidebar that have further video ads embedded in them, that auto-restart if we pause them, while we're trying to watch our desired video. Get rid of the video ads on (at least) the video pages and I think we won't have a problem anymore.

I've also been having this problem for a few months. Ads play without a hitch then a full stop during the feature video at 5secs in (though rarely after a few seconds longer). This only happens on Gamespot. This seems to occur on almost all videos on the site, though "Reality Check" seems to play fine. All other video sites run smoothly. Occurs when using Chrome and Firefox. AVG running or not has no effect. No other downloads ongoing, no other PCs/consoles interfering.

I'm using a 36" Samsung from 1993(or something around then)...Looks great but I'd suggest spending the few bucks to get the S-Video cable to connect it to your TV. You get an immediate, visible increase in fidelity than over the RCA cables. Better colors, better interlacing/progressive-scan.
