You might try this website here: http://www.ontrackdatarecovery.co.uk/

At least they might be able to point you in the right direction.

You don't NEED to, but it's a good idea to change it back. It will/can hasten your bootup time if nothing else.

Open your test center. On the left there are 5 menus. Programs, Test, Results, ect.. Click on Test. You'll get a drop-down menu. At the bottom you'll see "Schedule Daily Test". And there you go. It should be the same as the full version.

I knew it was something like that. Just remember, if you don't pay it off in time (like me), your account balance will get a nice little jolt at the end of 6 months.

On my copy of Speedfan Temp3 is the second core of my dual core CPU. It's usually within 1 degree C of the other. So I would say its a misreading. Try uninstalling it and reinstalling it. It should be noted that Speedfan doesent work to good with some brands of motherboards.

Check to see if you have a metal stand off out of place between the backplate and your MB.This could causea short andthe computer wouldn't start as you described. There should be (usually) 9 standoffs. One for each coresponding MB hole.

You may have to go back to your original version of windows and then upgrade to Vista. Use the restore disk that came with with your computer. If you didnt get one, it should be stored on your harddrive. Burn a copy, restore your computer, and then upgrade.

You'll have to get them from Gateways support website,or from the shop where you bought it. Or an upgrade version of Vista not clean install.
