SCE Japan Studio make a Silent Hill game. They made Siren Blood Curse which is a remake of the original Siren which was made by the original SH team. It's absolutely terrifying. I've given up hope on an American studio ever getting what makes SH so scary and unique. They instead always opt to have really laughably heavy handed bullshit that isn't scary at all.Pffrbt
I've been singing the praises of Blood Curse since it came out. Blood Curse single handedly kept survival horror alive with Silent Hill being westernized, Resident Evil becoming an action game series, and Fatal Frame warming the bench because Nintendo got exclusive dibs to future games and had no idea what to do with it, someone had to step up to the plate. Shamefully, the game seems to have gone almost completely unnoticed.

I got it, thought it was pretty bad. I'm at the point where a silent protagonist just doesn't work for me anymore, and my pawns are the exact opposite of silent, they won't shut up. Changing their speech to Japanese doesn't help, something being repeated over and over in Japanese is still annoying. The actual gameplay itself is pretty good, but EVERYTHING surrounding it is so lackluster and lazy that it's still a bad game overall.

If it isn't made by Team Silent, chances are the next one will suck just as bad as the last few. Shattered Memories however, was one of the single most memorable game experiences I have ever had. I will never forget it.

PGR3 and 4 are the best ones I played this gen. I think racing sims like Forza and GT are boring as hell.

On the fifth day god made beer, and had some with the pizza he ordered that night, and saw that it was good.

[QUOTE="MuD3"]because christianity is the foremost religion in their society and it tends to try and dictate the lives of everyone else... hiphops_savior
Do not murder? Do not commit adultery would certainly solve a lot of marital problems. Not stealing? Not lying? It seems like a lot of people would agree with what Christianity tries to impose upon.

The vast majority of prisoners in jail for murder are self professed Christians. More murders and rapes are committed in red states than blue states in the USA. More divorces happen in red states among professed Christians than in blue states among secular citizens. Besides, not stealing, killing, lying, etc. are ideas that predate Christianity and Judaism by thousands of years.

Well I live in a vast majority Christian nation, so.... Besides, any time any of us criticize Islam we have this group of politically correct morons within the community who accuse us of being Islamaphobes. (apparently they think it's ok to bash Christianity, but Islam? Ohhh, no, no, no.) Given the chance, I will always take Islam to task for it's equally idiotic and dangerous teachings.

[QUOTE="xdude85"]Those Columbine kids believed in God, and look where that got them.0rbs
little known fact, they worshipped the devil

The victims is who he meant. They prayed passionately for help, and none came. God was too busy helping football players score touchdowns, apparently. If I had a chance to stop Eric and Dylan from shooting those kids, I would have done it. Your God sat idly by and did nothing.

Now I have a real itch to go find one myself, and a copy of JSRF. Man, that game was just too damn much. Certainly my hands down fav Xbox game of all time.
