Ok i will explain this.

Its simple ergonomics, if something is fully black like a matt black it appears as heavier and bulkier, the PS3 is designed the same way although to look at it you cant see its semi transparent it is and your brain knows it is, this makes your brain think the PS3 is smaller and lighter than it is, as Kaz said about the PS3 he wants it to be used as a focal point in a room so you walk in to that room and you see the PS3 straight away, much in the same way a fire or a television is used as a focal point, for them to accomplish this they had to make the PS3 look light and visually attractive (hence the curves since sharp points make things look less attractive)

For the Sixaxis to look the same as the PS3 and give the same impression that it is lighter it was also made partially see through, although im interested to see how they will maintain the same effect when rumble is added.

heh dont think of Micro$oft as one giant company, the way its structured is so that the Games area of the business is like a seperate company in itself, if Sony stretches their corporate muscles then m$ will run and hide in a corner with a gun and one bullet, at the moment Sony is just seeing whats going on toying with the current market then its gonna jump on it in one quick go (starting september/november in my opinion) when that happens Sony will dominate.

I understand what you mean with delays in games like The Darkness in the EU and no reason as to why and the delaying of other titles which are merely ports Sony are having a hard time, i think that it will pass though people are buying the PS3 for other things except for the console whereas xbox360 is simply a games console, you could say this is why the PS3 isnt doing so well.

When you think about it though its following the same sales pattern as the PS1 and PS2 and look how they did, dont compare the PS3 to the Wii thats where alot of people fall down they are two completely different things like ham and milk (who wants a ham and milk sandwich?)

You have to bare in mind that there are alot of development titles in the works both first party and third exclusives or timed exclusives around this time is when the PS3 will come into its own. Currently it can meet the xbox360's graphical power and surpass it when the 360 has been out for over 19 months now extend that time and you'll see the 360 hit a wall and the PS3 keep going.

Think about the PC games on that are restricted to the ability of peoples PC's developers have to tone their games down so that they can support it and the same thing will happen developers will start getting nowhere with the 360 and look more toward PS3 with its bluray and sixaxis etc.

At the moment the 360 has the market dominance given the time its been out but i think everything will change, i doubt it will turn into a niche market like the guy at my local game shop tried to argue saying that it is going nowhere and will go nowhere. Will give them a nice taste of my balls when they are proved wrong, until then i will play the games i like on a console i like without the danger of setting my curtains alight :/

I dont know if someone already said this i couldnt really be bothered to look, as far as i know Ridge racer and Virtua tennis are already in 1080p to be honest you probably cant even notice the difference even if the resolution was increased its only noticeable on really big screens if you have around 32" like me then you wouldnt notice transistion from one to the other whereas on my dads TV which is 50" its slightly more noticeable.

Hardly worth the investment if you ask me should of spent the money on some new threads and gone and got yourself laid oh well each to there own i guess.

Quick question, Noticed that GS has a habit of noting release dates in quarters although I dont have a problem with this its seems they dont even note the official release date (bar a few such as GTA4) even when its announced, While quarters are good it would be nicer to have a much more specific idea of when a game is actually coming out.

Well anyway the question is do any of you have a link or a site thats fairly dependable on stable release dates, dont say amazon because as far as they are concerned 30th of March 2008 is when Final Fantasy 13, MGS4, Resident evil 5 and DMC are coming out which is GG tbh....

Any help would be appreciated,
