There are too many games released, most of them are garbage or over-hyped. I do not understand why the gaming industry is falling so far behind with technology. A free game client with unlockable features? That sounds like most XBL and MMO games right now anyways.
I can go on Youtube, and watch a gamer play any game with a Let's Play video, and decide to make a purchase that way, all much faster than downloading a demo.
The gaming industry is in trouble for releasing too many unfinished, glitchy games. There used to be a day where a developer would say, "the game is ready when it's ready". Now, they are taking pre-orders 8 months before a fixed release date. If enough people get sick of all the anti-consumer practices, the industry will crash hard when the new consoles are released.
Wouldn't it hurt sales more if every game had the same storylines and characters...... oh wait....
Seriously, I'm sick of this crap. Give the power to the players to choose what sort of character they want to create, or in this case, what game they would like to buy.
@Tsuchikage Why? He will go in a microtransaction spree. Go dig up the articles about how he wanted to charge for extra stadiums, jerseys, and just about anything else for EA sports games. Who do you think was behind charging $5 to unlock maximum skills in Tiger Woods golf?
Analysts also said that SWTOR would have 4 million paying subscribers. EA is in rough shape with all the internal politics. No CEO can change that without some serious housecleaning.
So for the long term fans, the ones who made Simcity a franchise and helped build EA into a massive company, she says... Thank you, your business is no longer welcome.
