I mostly visit Gamespot for the news and entertainment. A single review on this site has never stopped me or made me buy a game. If there is something I`ve learned, it is that a review is very subjective. There are a lot of 9+ games that I wouldnt even consider buying cause I know it`s not my cup of tea and it doesnt take many seconds to find out gamescores on other sites.
So even though I dont like what has happened I`ll probably stick around and take the reviews with a grain of salt, as I`ve always done...
So after letting all this sink in, I`m kinda feeling bad for the rest of the Gamespot crew. Can`t be the best place to work at after something like this...
Kinda sad since there`s still alot of good people left at Gamespot.
For the first time, I can`t wait for Tournament TV.
They`ll probably act like nothing has happened, but it`ll still be fun to watch.
Either way I think it`s gonna be awkward...
Call me stupid but if he was sacked for the review and his honest opinions why the hell was the review published on the site in the first place?GumbieuK
Yeah. I assume every review needs to be approved to some extent. This makes me feel like there is something more to this story. Nevertheless I hope someone at Gamespot/Cnet speaks out. The speculation is driving me mad...
Can`t wait to see how Gamespot responds to this.
Hope they tell it as it is and don`t make up a lame story...
I know some people haven`t had any luck with this, but all I had to do was log out.
Had to confirm my date of birth and it played.
Tried to log back in but then I just got the ESRB message again...
I would personally recomend the 360-version. Sure if you have a powerfull pc it will look better and you do have the extra mods. But the fact that you can sit back on you couch and play it on a bigscreen tv makes the 360-version much better in my mind. And the xbox controller works just as well, if not better than mouse and kayboard, but I guess thats a personal preferance :)
