Way too many unresolved threads by the end, I don't think I have it in me to play a second season of this.

@berserker66666 To be fair these types of games are harder to review since they're so heavily story based. Besides reviews where always opinion based, which is why you should look for a reviewer whose tastes matches yours.

@GSGuy321 I remember watching the stream of the IGN reviewer, he mentioned the same issues that Kevin did, but said it had no impact on his enjoyment. So yeah, probably expect a high score from him.

@atraxxas Please. relegating important story/lore to a website/phone app is a failure of the writers. And while the shooting is admittedly good, it is only a part of the experience. If everything else is lacking(read slow drop, boring loot, bad story, no real mission diversity, minimal social interactions, etc.), then shooting dumb AI in the face gets boring to some of us at some point.

@001011000101101 @Pro-Aktivity By your standards anything that doesn't have a real world impact is completely unimportant. In that case why even care about about art, movies, music, etc since according to you we shouldn't feel strongly about them? Why even post on this article since apparently it's not worth your time? Why not just go outside and do something you deem important to real world issues instead?

@001011000101101 Not all battles need to have dire consequences to be worth fighting. What's important differs by the individual, it is not up you you or me to look down on them. As a male gamer I realize I don't have a dog in this fight, however it doesn't rob me from feeling empathy for other gamers looking for more gender diversity.

@frozenuxx To be fair that was a bad game, released on a system where any realist should not expect high sales numbers.

Out of the chosen examples, only Skylanders could be called a risk. Destiny is a fairly safe investment. The fact that a company makes so much more money(compared to other devs/publishers), yet can only name one 18 month old game as an example of taking risks is sad.

You would think all that COD cash would allow them to give their devs the freedom to make some experimental stuff every now and then. Still I can't condemn their strategy, the market has spoken in their favor. End of story.
