[QUOTE="dnuggs40"][QUOTE="naval"]

They do support PC gaming...nobody called them gods though. They have done a lot (probably more than any single company though) including developing the most successful API for developing games on the planet. And Vista is pretty good...definitely not their best OS to date...but I have no problem at all playing on my copy of Vista 64. Got any other OS's that can play as many games as a Microsoft OS can? No? Didn't think so. You have nothing but sarcastic remarks to add to the conversion. Really Naval...this is below you. dnuggs40
Sorry, I don't live in the past, I am talking about present situation... if we talk about past then MS has done lot of cool stuff like AoE, AoM, tycoons etc The last positive affect they had on Pc gaming was XP.. I only have sarcastic remarks simple because people I don't really see a sinle point in favour of Ms in the past year of so

They just released DX10 not long ago, and they are working on DX11 from which all accounts seem to be a step up from DX10 (which wasn't that impressive). Also, Windows 7 seems like a very good OS from all accounts...and it reported even faster than XP...especially in game performance! They have tried some marketing initiatives like GFW brand (which I like), technology like GFWL (great idea...not so great results so far though), and other things like trying to standardize requirements and peripherals. There may have not been any significant things in "the past year or so" but they are constantly working on things and we have several major initiatives that will come into fruition in the next year or so.

Well as far as reqs. thats the pcga collectively which has done more for the pc community in it's 2 yrs than ms has in 2 yrs. yeah their making windows 7 because vista wasn't as good as what they wanted and dx usually advances every couple of yrs or so anyhow so their basically doing what they have been doing for decades. putting out another $2-300 dollar os. which like u said they've seemed to make windows 7 what most consumers are looking for. all i'm saying is they happily brand games with gfw is that much of a problem or hassle to take a max of 5 min out of their 1 1/2 long conf. to say and were not forgetting about our other plat. the pc and showcase some games. do u understand where i'm coming from wouldn't u have liked to see some pc titles announced?

Wow...this is getting really sad lol.dnuggs40
If u take a look at the topic "do u think ms will focus more on pc gaming this year than last year' and what i wrote about what games you hope to see announced at the ms press conf. you'd have followed specifically what i asked for but no u had to talk S*** on those who said ms won't show anything because they don't care about us which is evident after watching the conf. ur the one who brought this way off topic and continue to slam those who are rightfully pissed of at ms for not showing 1 single game for the pc. why do u still support ms?

Microsoft needs a new "grass roots" advertising campaign. It seems many PC gamers feel neglected and hurt...maybe Bill Gates could visit these people in their homes and cuddle them and tell them he loves them just as much as Xbox players.

I dunno...but they need to do something...because all the tearful cries of neglect is getting sad.

dnuggs40

u still don't get it do u why don't u just get a 360 and stfu because from what i say was nothing but 360 titles are you cool with playing ports for the rest of ur life on the greatest platform ever(pc) cuz if everything we'll be playing is 360 ports don't make much sense owning a pc now does it?

and by the way don't post on this thread anymore

Didn't show jacks*** for us pc gamers, showed more last year than this year, if it wasn't for the fact that all games run on windows os i'd be done with M$. heres hoping some1 develops a os for pc gamers and all the devs and pubs drop windows and goes with the non m$ os.

Bout put my headphones through my moniter when i heard kojima was bringing mgs to the 360, what a dirty monopolistic company. f'em

All MS haters will shut up in less than one hour, when Alan Wake is displayed at their E3 conference.

Baranga
