yes, that will be able to run crysis very well. I have a 9800 GT with, I think an E8500 CPU and I can run it all on very high except post processing and shadows at medium.

so the ram I want to buy won't be compatible with the computer, or will it just be slower. do you need ddr3 ram for the corei7 and the motherboard?

Because it's fun to start out and you can play really well known songs relatively fast. And when you get really good it's VERY impressive.
